USDA found to be poisoning bird populations, causing mass die-offs involving millions of birds

(NaturalNews) Not all the mysterious bird die-offs that have been witnessed around the globe recently are due to unexplained causes. A recent mass die-off event witnessed in Yankton, South Dakota was traced back to the USDA which admitted to carrying out a mass poisoning of the birds.

After hundreds of starlings were found dead in the Yankton Riverside Park, concerned citizens began to investigate. Before long, a USDA official called the local police and admitted they had poisoned the birds. "They say that they had poisoned the birds about ten miles south of Yankton and they were surprised they came to Yankton like they did and died in our park," says Yankton Animal Control Officer Lisa Brasel, as reported by KTIV (http://www.ktiv.com/Global/story.as...).

The USDA then confirmed the story and explained it was all "part of a large killing" in Nebraska. Some of the birds that ate the poison apparently flew all the way to Yankton before succumbing to the poison.

USDA mass-murders birds on a regular basis

So why was the USDA poisoning birds in the first place? A Nebraska farmer was apparently complaining that the starlings were defecating in his feed meal. The answer to this conundrum apparently isn't to cover your feed meal but rather call the USDA and ask them to poison thousands of birds.

The USDA complied, apparently agreeing this was a brilliant idea. So they put out a poison called DRC-1339 and allowed thousands of birds to feed on that poison.

Carol Bannerman from USDA Wildlife Services ridiculously claimed the bird kill was also to protect "human health."

"We're doing it to address, in this case, agricultural damage as well as the potential for human health and safety issues," she said. That's just a lie, of course. In what universe do starlings pose a threat to human health and safety?

The USDA Wildlife Services website, by the way, is http://www.aphis.usda.gov

The USDA even has a name for this mass poisoning program: Bye Bye Blackbird. Through the use of poisons such as DRC-1339, the USDA has killed more than four million birds over the last several years, reports Truthout (http://www.truth-out.org/bye-bye-bl...).

They even proudly publish an online spreadsheet showing just how many they've murdered with poison: http://www.aphis.usda.gov/wildlife_...

Remember, these are mass bird killings that are funded with your tax dollars. It all makes you wonder whether the government is, in fact, responsible for many of the other mysterious animal deaths that have been reported across the country (and around the globe).

It also makes you wonder: If the federal government thinks nothing of murdering 4 million living, breathing birds, then what else might they be capable of doing out of a total lack of respect for wildlife?

And if the USDA poisons birds because certain groups become too populous, what do you suppose is planned for when human population grows too large?

Do you think this Constitution-loving is getting out of hand?

It may be in the best interests of the country for those representing us in the Federal government to not only read the Constitution every time a new Congress convenes, but to take a preliminary pass or fail assessment prior to their their names being added to the ballot.

Joy Behar and Bill Press discuss Republicans’ announcement that the Constitution will be read when the new Congress is convened:

Behar: Do you think this Constitution-loving is getting out of hand? I mean, is it a nod to the Tea Party? What is this about, exactly? And, Is it the first time a lot of congressmen will have heard about it, read it?

Press: First of all, I think on the one hand, it’s hooray for Hollywood. It’s just a so obvious - publicity stunt. I gotta tell you there could be some benefit here, because I think most Republicans haven’t read the Constitution, to be honest. I hope they listen carefully. There’s some good stuff in there about the right of privacy they probably never heard before. There’s something in there that says only Congress can declare war, not a President of the United States. I bet they never heard of that before.

Behar: Probably never did.

Ms. Behar’s questioning of the reading of the Constitution in Congress comes on the heels of another mainstream media analyst who takes issue with Constitution loving. MSNBC’s Ezera Klein recently said, “the issue of the Constitution is that the text is confusing and was written more than one hundred years ago.” According to Ezra, people don’t read the text of the document and believe they’re following something that isn’t actually in it.

One example of someone who may or may not have read the document is Bill Press who seems a bit confused himself. He is apparently unaware that no such “right to privacy” is defined in the Constitution. Our founding document does, however, provide protections in the fourth amendment so that the people are secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures without probable cause or a warrant. It seems neither Joy Behar, Bill Press, DHS chief Janet Napolitano, or President Obama read that particular portion of the Constitution when they were supporting and/or implementing new security screening procedures at the Nation’s airports. The California Supreme Court itself may have failed to read the founding documents, as evidenced by a recent decision which claims law enforcement has the right to search the cell phone of anyone taken into custody when placed under arrest in the state. Examples like this pervade our country and lead to thousands of Constitutional violations by federal and state officials every day.

While it can’t be denied that many of the Republicans in Congress are in it to make a show of the reading of the Constitution, We the People are somewhat bemused that our politicians didn’t think of it sooner, especially when you consider that Congressional representatives take an oath which specifically says:

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States.”

It may be in the best interests of the country for those representing us in the Federal government to not only read the Constitution every time a new Congress convenes, but to take a preliminary pass or fail assessment prior to their their names being added to the ballot. The assessment would simply ask potential House and Senate candidates to match the amendment number with what it actually says. We could even standardize the test with multiple choice answers to ensure the test is culturally and socially sensitive.

When you take an oath to support or uphold something, it’s usually a good idea to understand what that entails.

Doomsday Fear Mongers Get It Right Again

By now, you’ve likely come across the recent 60 Minutes segment titled State Budgets: Day of Reckoning. If you have yet to view it, you can do so below.

Millions of Americans who have been told that our economy is now in a period of recovery may be surprised to learn that most states are so broke that they are left with no other choice but to cut spending on literally everything. Governor Christie of New Jersey is, according to 60 Minutes, the canary in the mine:

We spent too much on everything. We spent money just crazily. The credit card’s maxed out. It’s over. It’s over.

For readers of this web site and other alternative news and contrarian outlets this report was to be expected. We’ve been reporting on, and our readers have been contributing their insights via comments for quite some time - at least a couple of years now - about the fundamental problems facing our country. For those who have questioned their own sanity, or have had their sanity questioned by friends and family when trying to spread the message of preparing for the Greatest Depression, Governor Christie just proved that you’ve been right all along:

Where am I getting the money? I don’t have it. I literally don’t have it.

It’s not like you can avoid it forever because it’s here now. We all know it’s here. And the Federal government doesn’t have the money to paper over it anymore either for the states. The day of reckoning has arrived. And it’s going to arrive everywhere.

Unlike the federal government, states don’t have the ability to issue debt and print as much money as is needed via the digital presses at the Federal Reserve. They are left with no choice but austerity measures via spending cuts. And, as Charlie McGrath pointed out recently, Austerity will hit America like an Eight Pound Sledgehammer.

Earlier this year, we discussed the Collapse of Dysfunctional States as Another Step To The Federal Bubble Detonation, and according to mainstream reports as of late, we’re well on our way to complete destruction of the way of life as we have come to know it in our spend and consume society.

If you thought the housing bubble was bad, consider what financial analyst Meredith Whitney has to say about state and local governments. Take note that it was Whitney who blew the doors open on the problems in housing and the excessive leverage in the banking system - which led to the collapse that has left us where we are today. And while investment houses and ratings agencies are still promoting municipal bonds as a great way to preserve wealth, you might want to sleep on Whitney’s latest comments before you go all in:

It has tenticles as wide as anything I’ve seen. I think next to housing this is the single most important issue in the United States and certainly the largest threat to the US economy.

When asked why no one is doing anything about it, Whitney provides an answer that is as true today as it was before the housing bubble pop:

Because they don’t pay attention until they have to.

It is only at the precipice of disaster that people, especially politicians and vested interests, are willing to change.

The worst thing about all of this, is that, as Meredith Whitney suggested, the states will likely find a solution to their problems. Our view is that this solution will come down to massive, unprecedented bailouts from the Federal government. Not billions - not trillions more will be printed.

We maintain our previous forecast, though we can’t put a specific timeline on it, that the collapse of state governments will eventually lead to the largest bubble detonation in history - financier George Soros refers to it as the Super Bubble and trend forecaster Gerald Celente calls it the Government Bubble:

How long will this be?

It’s hard to say, but in terms of the states, we’re likely looking at sooner rather than later. States are already broke, with California, Illinois and New Jersey already showing serious fiscal strain. In the near future we’ll begin seeing states requesting bailouts directly from the federal government. Eventually, we suspect that the majority of states will be standing in the welfare line looking for hand outs.

For now, the US dollar remains fairly strong given our economic problems. In fact, any time a financial emergency spreads across the globe, investors seem to be running to US bonds for safety, so there is still confidence in the US government’s ability to service our existing debt.

However, we believe that once the states begin to require federal involvement to pay government workers, emergency responders and pensioners, we will be much closer to a serious collapse of not only our economic system, but the monetary system as well. It’s only a matter of time before the rest of the world realizes that we’re completely broke and takes action accordingly.

The states blew a government spending bubble, and that bubble is about to pop. The federal debt bubble will not be far behind.

Naturally, there will be skeptics. In fact, most are skeptical of the possibility of a complete collapse of the US Dollar and our way of life, but it is in process as we speak.

Just like the states, the federal government will soon be on the precipice.

Meredith Whitney says that municipal bond defaults will start occurring in scores over the next 12 months. We’ll see what the federal government does, but our guess is more bailouts - hey it worked before!

But who will bail out the $150 Trillion (official figure) government debt bubble?

Sing the health praises of parsley and sage

Those of us who go back a few years likely remember the line about parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme in the huge Simon and Garfunkel hit song about two ill-fated lovers, "Are You Going to Scarborough Fair". Many have speculated that the reference to the four popular herbs was due to their use in Medieval Europe to help cleanse the air and ward off the infamous black plague. Others have thought that the reference to the four herbs was because the combination may have been used as a love potion. Whatever the reason for their inclusion in the popular song, the many health benefits of parsley and sage are worth loving and singing praises about in their own rights.

PARSLEY

Parsley is an amazing medicinal herb with a world of health benefits. The root contains calcium, B-complex vitamins, and iron, which nourish the glands that help regulate the uptake of calcium. It is a source of magnesium, calcium, potassium, vitamin A, beta-carotene, vitamin C and vitamin K.

Among the many benefits reported for parsley are:

Question: What is the South Dakota Badlands Wilderness Area?

There’s more to South Dakota than Harley’s and the dynamite scarred mountainside of patriotism gone awry. Just 80 miles west of Rapid City lies the north unit of Badlands National Park. After paying the initial $15 for your seven day pass, drive past the full-service campgrounds and past the gridlocked viewpoints to the park’s best kept secret, the Badlands Wilderness Area.

Set aside by Congress in 1976, the Badlands Wilderness Area consists of 65k acres of pristine backcountry and is home to the bison, bighorn sheep, coyote, mule deer, prairie dog, and rattlesnake. After a short drive on the unpaved but car friendly Sage Creek Rim Road, park your car at the free, first come first serve Sage Creek Campground. Expect to find covered picnic tables and pit toilets but not much of anything else – it’s primitive and your only point of entry into the Wilderness Area.

Prior to starting any day hike or overnight trip you will need to sign the area’s register at the campground/backcountry boundary. All that is required is the general area of where you expect to hike and or camp as well as how long you intend on staying. It’s that simple. No camping fees, no permits, no trails…make a plan and go with it.

Naturally, navigation skills will be most critical so pack a detailed topo (trails illustrated – badlands national park) and compass. Be sure to pack in all of your water, there is no drinking water available in the campground or backcountry. Also, southwestern south dakota is subject to inclement weather and conditions can change rather quickly so pay attention to the sky and when looking for camp, do keep high winds, heavy rains, and violent electrical storms in mind.

Assuming your trip has been blessed by good weather, hold off on the shut eye. Clear air and minimal light pollution make the Badlands premier star gazing country. I didn’t care to count but park officials boast over 7500 stars, galaxies, star clusters, nebulae, planets, and moons are visible to the naked eye on any given night. Regardless, break out the peace pipe and get ready to ponder your place in the cosmos.

Thankfulness Betwixt Adversity

While Barry Soetoro continues to play golf 5 hours a day as "Rome burns", Napolitano continues to peddle "homegrown terrorism" as the next bogeyman, the FCC continues it's move towards regulating the Internet to silence all of us Constitutional bloggers and NASA is warning of impending doom from solar flares, I am enjoying a quiet day in the garden and continuing to plod along in preparation for "whatever" disaster the elitists may construct.
I am thankful for so many things. My family and my friends are what is important. They constantly challenge me to continue with all of our preparations and not give in to grief, worry or overwhelming sadness at what is going on in our country and our world.
Impending and looming war with Iran does not hinder my celebrating Fathers day with a homemade chocolate cake, from scratch, for a wonderful husband and father. Adversity from every direction only seems to highlight the beauty of what we all striving to preserve.
I wish you all a beautiful fathers day and summer solstice. Remember to take time to love and appreciate the things you are fighting for.

Debtors prison, Unemployment and the Agenda

As our economy sinks farther into the sewer and people are losing their jobs at record rates the best that our government and country can do for us is reinstate debtors prisons. I have seen article after article about folks getting thrown in prison for their inability to pay their bills. By 1833 America had abolished all debtors prisons but in the face of economic collapse and a depression which will be worse than the last one, it seems to be back in favor. A recent article in the Star Tribune in Minnesota titled, “In jail for being in debt,” exposes the growing number of citizens going to jail at the behest of banks and a welcoming judicial system. They write:
“It’s not a crime to owe money, and debtors’ prisons were abolished in the United States in the 19th century. But people are routinely being thrown in jail for failing to pay debts. In Minnesota, which has some of the most creditor-friendly laws in the country, the use of arrest warrants against debtors has jumped 60 percent over the past four years, with 845 cases in 2009, a Star Tribune analysis of state court data has found.” The Constitution explicitly prohibits incarceration for failure to pay debts. However, the way the states are getting around this is by having a judge issue a court order to pay the debt. If this order is ignored, it then qualifies as a civil contempt of court. At which point, the judge becomes a literal dictator with the ability to imprison a person indefinitely for the violation.

Well it just keeps getting stranger and more unbelievable every day. I have been following the disaster on the gulf like everyone else i hope and it confounds me that their is so little info coming out of the area. It amazes me that so many states are so quiet about the larger issue of Health Safety. I have only heard one report by a sister of a friend who lives on the beach of S. Carolina, who has moved inward to the center of Virginia to get away from any possible harm to her family and child. I have searched blog after blog and have found virtually no reports about what is really going on! Health Effects of Hydrogen Sulfide H2S is classed as a chemical asphyxiant, similar to carbon monoxide and cyanide gases. It inhibits cellular respiration and uptake of oxygen, causing biochemical suffocation. Typical exposure symptoms include:

On May 3 WWLTV reported that the level of Hydrogen Sulfide was recorded at 1,192 ppb! It kills you at 50-200 ppb!!! Yet it is being tested frequently above 1,000 ppb.
Folks this is just ONE of many poisons coming from the oil and don't forget that COREXIT is a deadly poison being sprayed on not just the oil but the towns as well.
We are being lied to and a lot of those folks down there are going to die from exposure to these chemicals. I have heard reports of fishermen trying to use respirators while on clean up and they have been told by BP if they wear them they will be fired. I was a deep sea diver in Alaska during the Exxon Valdez accident in which they used COREXIT. There were more than 7,000 people involved in the cleanup-THEY ALL DIED!!!!

It is just astounding to witness and view what is going on these days. How many of you think that this BP fiasco was a deliberate act? Goldman Sachs sold thousands of shares-more than half it's stock-two days before the rig blew up. The chief boss who works on the rig sold a bundle of his shares weeks before.....humm......something just doesn't smell right with this whole thing. And then you have the absolute NEGLECT of the situation. They have done everything they can to hinder the cleanup and containment.
Have you heard the rumors about trying to evacuate the southern coast? Well I have been hearing rumors about this since shortly after the BP rig sank. Nothing was certain, just rumors. Then yesterday I came across this article: Oblivious to Oil in Mississippi, Possible Troops in Louisiana
"On Sunday, the Intel Hub website reported rumors of a federal troop deployment in Louisiana.
Shepard Ambellas, who reported on a mass grave site at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2009, reports possible “battle hardened troops” or National Guard outfitted in full battle gear and body armor have been seen moving into Grand Isle, Louisiana.
Ambellas writes:
As of 12:00 PM CST, possible battle hardened troops or National Guard, in full battle gear and body armor with have been seen moving into the area. Fully armored HUMVEES with 50 Cal active gun turrets are reportedly arriving on scene as well. All troops and vehicles are in woodland patterns.
Black trucks with red letters displaying “Disaster Relief Team” have also arrived. FEMA contractors and mobile facilities are present. The Crisis Management Corp. is reportedly present as well.
Our reporters see no visible sign that the troops are National Guard at this time. They reported the troops looked “battle hardened”.
Ambellas and the Intel Hub believe the deployment is the “first step in a massive coastal evacuation that could potentially disperse 40-50 million people.”

Can you imagine our government trying to evacuate 50 MILLIOM people? What possible reason is there to place military troops in these areas with "fully armored humvees with 50 cal active gun turrets"? These troops are apparently NOT helping with clean up so what are they for? You certainly don't need 50 cal machine guns to help with the clean up!
The article goes on to say: Maryann Tobin, writing for the the Albuquerque Examiner on May 9, stated FEMA “and other government agencies” have prepared to evacuate the Tampa Bay area ahead of a “controlled burn of surface oil in the Gulf of Mexico.” Tobin did not cite sources.
On May 4, up to 17,500 U.S. Army National Guard troops were mobilized by the Pentagon “to help various states with the oil spill,” according to the Associated Press. “Defense Secretary Robert Gates has granted requests to send troops of up to 6,000 by Louisiana, 3,000 by Alabama, 2,500 by Florida and 6,000 by Mississippi.”

So here we have intel about FEMA "and other government agencies" on May 9th "preparing to evacuate the area". It takes time, coordination and lots of pre-planning to coordinate something like this folks! This news is VERY disturbing.....

We have watched them violate their sacred oath of office. “We, the People” cannot wait for and solely rely on the next round of elections in November of this year. It is now and each day that these public servants must put the citizen’s interests above self-interest by resigning immediately. Don't spray me with chemicals and don't mess with my food! These two things are a growing sore spot with me these days. It boggles my mind when I've met people that are unaware of the chem trails. That they have never taken a moment to notice the lattice work grid being sprayed on them on an almost daily basis. And then when it's pointed out they have the most sickeningly vague look. There eyes go blank, their face goes slack and with some you get that "deer in the headlights" look. I see a sad mixture of denial and fear. Then when you start to give them information on it they either flat out say "that's not true" or they politely listen but you know they will never pursue more information. My other big gripe is GMO and nano foods. These things should NEVER be in our food. They should NEVER be allowed in our country. THEY KILL YOU! They kill you either fast or slow, but you're dead nonetheless. Just unbelievable!

Planting a garden, free e-books and DISCLOSE Act (HR 5175)

Happy Spring to you all. I have been very busy lately building a chicken coop, raising a bunch of baby chicks (for food and eggs) and getting by back yard tilled up, edged, fenced so the dog doesn't trample everything and planted with delicious heirloom vegie seeds. Yumm. I have been BUSY. My neighbors have been giving me some weird looks and make comments like "wow that's a big garden what are you going to put in it"? My first thought is "everything I can"! They are happy to buy a few sickly genetically modified Frankenstein plants and call it good. It is a strange feeling to have your neighbors look at you like you have two heads when all you are doing is planting a garden and raising a few chickens. It is so far from their comfort zone to see something being done that a few years ago everyone did. I have to say that at first I was feeling, honestly, like i was doing something wrong. Breaking free of the social conditioning we all grew up with can be difficult. I had a mantra i found myself repeating as i went about digging and planting--"what i am doing is good, wholesome and normal. what i am doing will feed my family, I do not care how weird they think i am"! Poor things just don't know or care to know the kind of storm that is coming. I will put up some pictures of before and after soon.
Well as we are all aware things are turning sour all over the globe. I hope you are all preppin as fast as possible. It seems the more I do and the more I feel I am prepared the less I feel prepared! Sometimes you have to just stand back and take stock and know that you can't do everything.

I ran across an article yesterday that applies to all of us bloggers and big mouths that just infuriated me. This article is written by Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) on a new bill called DISCLOSE Act (HR 5175), this bill essentially strips you of your first amendment right to free speech unless you are an approved media outlet! So beware-they are comming after the bloggers soon. Seems we are having too much of an impact and we are scaring them!
Bloggers Beware – They’re Coming After You!

Just when you thought it was safe to start expressing your right to free speech, Democrats in Congress are gearing up for a vote on a new piece of legislation to blatantly undermine the First Amendment. Known as the DISCLOSE Act (HR 5175), this bill – written by the head of the Democrats’ congressional campaign committee – is their response to the recent Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. In short, the Supreme Court found that the government could not restrict the free speech rights of individuals or other entities wishing to participate in the political dialogue.
It is hard to see how establishing a level playing field for free speech – as our Founding Fathers did by making it a right under the Constitution and which the Supreme Court upheld – is a threat to our democracy. Nevertheless, the White House and their allies on Capitol Hill see honest criticism as a threat to forcing their big government, liberal agenda through Congress. So, there is no time like the present – namely five months before an election – to start putting the muzzle on those individuals and organizations not sticking to the Democrats’ talking points.
Under the DISCLOSE Act, certain incorporated entities would be restricted in how they can exercise their free speech rights. There is an exemption for some in the media sphere like newspapers, TV news, and the like. However, there is one driving force in today’s public debate that is NOT exempt. Bloggers will not have the same exemption provided to other media sources. Never mind that the Supreme Court’s opinion in the Citizens United case stated, “Differential treatment of media corporations and other corporations cannot be squared with the First Amendment.”
For many bloggers to exercise their free speech rights, they would have to jump through the same onerous new hoops as many businesses, nonprofit groups, and even such threats to democracy as your local chamber of commerce. If this sounds like an absurd overreach by one party in power, I invite you to take a look at their government takeover of health care, taxpayer-funded bailouts, and general hostility to private sector economic growth.
The Obama Administration and Congressional Democrats have not racked up a stellar record of transparency and openness. For a White House that touted its willingness to engage critics openly in hopes of staving off greater partisan rancor, Obama’s team has endorsed backroom deal-making, special giveaways to garner support for their agenda, and a closed-door decision-making process that has the American people more fed up with Washington. Now, under their brand of leadership, they stand ready to stifle free speech via legislative fiat.
Democrats should not be allowed to give themselves carte blanche to shut down the ability of those in the blogosphere or elsewhere to participate in our nation’s collective dialogue. That flies in the face of our most sacred rights as American citizens.

I now own a cow!

I am so happy lately to be able to have fresh, raw milk from both cow and goat coming from a local farmer who loves her cows and chickens. She only feeds them organic food, are minimally vaccinated and wander around freely like they should. They are big, fat, healthy and happy looking animals. I have been buying milk and eggs from her for several months. Around here organic eggs from the grocery store cost more than 5 dollars a dozen and organic milk is more than 5 dollars for a half gallon! YIKES! If you have a family that can be quite a chunk of change in your weekly grocery bill. My family will go through 2 dozen eggs and a couple gallons of milk, easily, each week. Now in comparison I pay this farm $2.50 for a dozen organic eggs that come in a beautiful variety of colors from light pink to blue and green to dark chocolate brown. It's like Easter every Friday when they are delivered. My milk costs $5 dollars for a gallon with the cream still on top. I just love Fridays when our delivery comes. More often than not the eggs and milk are still warm; the eggs having just been gathered and the milk from a recent milking. Oh and the smell and taste of fresh milk is like liquid flowers. So sweet and fresh. I grew up on fresh raw milk and have never been able to drink milk from the store.
If you figure out the math buying 2 dozen eggs and 3 gallons of milk each week from her I am paying only $20 dollars a week from her as opposed to $40 dollars a week from the store-a savings of $20 dollars a week! I actually save even more than that because the cream on the top of the milk I skim off and make butter or sour cream which saves me from having to buy them from the store except for only occasionally.
Well, this wonderful little farm has been left alone until recently when the state I guess finally took notice. They have been told to either jump through hoops and become a "class B" dairy - which means lots of drugs & regulation - or stop selling their milk. So, like many small farms run by people that are educated, aware and care about their animal, their product and NOT pumping them (and us) full of poisons, they found a way to get around the ridiculous regulation.
Since it is not illegal (at least not yet), to drink raw milk from your own cows they have sold shares of their cows to all their customers. I now own a few shares of a cow and instead of paying them for the milk, I pay them for housing and feeding "my" cow. Ya gotta love it!

In this article the Tea Party people are described as "a coalition of conservatives, anti-Semites, fascists, libertarians, racists, constitutionalists, militia men, gun freaks, homophobes, Ron Paul supporters, Alex Jones conspiracy types and American flag wavers". A flag waiver is equal to a fascist? Just because I believe in the Constitution I am somehow a racist, homophobe, gun freak??? What exactly is wrong with being a Ron Paul supporter? What is wrong with being a conservative? Or libertarian or constitutionalists or even a flag waiver, whatever that means? Don't you just love how they mix negative with positive? In this current atmosphere of twisted logic, up is down and right is wrong, somehow you are a wing nut if you believe in this countries Constitution and Bill of Rights. We have lost so much when the basic principles with which our country was founded is now labeled as despicable, contemptible, and with disdain.
According to these folks the Tea Party movement wants to "really hurt poor people by getting rid of social programs like food stamps, unemployment benefits, disability benefits, student aid, free health care, etc". That's the funniest part-as if this new health care is gonna be free!!! I know several people who believe in what the Tea Party movement is trying to do and I can say with certainty that "hurting poor people and taking away social programs" is NOT on their agenda! Ending government corruption, dishonesty, halting the ABSURD taxes etc., and getting back to our Constitution and the foundation with which our country was founded is the only agenda I hear about.
So all of you activists out there be very careful and aware. We are making a difference. Our voice is being carried on the wind, people are hearing us and waking up and the establishment is getting worried. Be safe. Be smart. Be polite and if you can, film everything!

A highly decorated Army Surgeon, Lieutenant Colonel Terry Lakin is doing what every American should be be doing and is risking court martial by demanding obama release his original birth certificate. Remember when Obama said he wanted a “national security force”? Not the national guard, but a civilian one that has not sworn to uphold the Constitution? On July 2, 2008 in a speech in Colorado Springs, Barack Obama called for a police state.

Remember that first alarming glimpse of what that army might look like? Notice how much these “Hitler youth” type young men talk about health care!

SEC. 5210. ESTABLISHING A READY RESERVE CORPS.
Section 203 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 204) is amended to read as follows:

SEC. 203. COMMISSIONED CORPS AND READY RESERVE CORPS.

(a) ESTABLISHMENT–

(1) IN GENERAL.–here shall be in the Service a commissioned Regular Corps and a Ready Reserve Corps for service in time of national emergency.

(2) REQUIREMENT.–All commissioned officers shall be citizens of the United States and shall be appointed without regard to the civil-service laws and compensated without regard to the Classification Act 2 of 1923, as amended.

(3) APPOINTMENT.–Commissioned officers of the Ready Reserve Corps shall be appointed by the President and commissioned officers of the Regular Corps shall be appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate.

(4) ACTIVE DUTY.–Commissioned officers of the Ready Reserve Corps shall at all times be subject to call to active duty by the Surgeon General, including active duty for the purpose of training.

(5) WARRANT OFFICERS.–Warrant officers may be appointed to the Service for the purpose of providing support to the health and delivery systems maintained by the Service and any warrant officer appointed to the Service shall be considered for purposes of this Act and title 37, United States Code, to be a commissioned officer within the Commissioned Corps of the Service.

(b) ASSIMILATING RESERVE CORP OFFICERS INTO THE REGULAR CORPS.—Effective on the date of enactment of the Affordable Health Choices Act, all individuals classified as officers in the Reserve Corps under this section (as such section existed on the day before the date of enactment of such Act) and serving on active duty shall be deemed to be commissioned officers of the Regular Corps.
[Note here that those personally appointed by BO -- without advice and consent of the Senate -- automatically become a part of the Regular Corps. Ed.]

(c) PURPOSE AND USE OF READY RESERVE.–

(1) PURPOSE.–The purpose of the Ready Reserve Corps is to fulfill the need to have additional Commissioned Corps personnel available on short notice (similar to the uniformed service’s reserve program) to assist regular Commissioned Corps personnel to meet both routine public health and emergency response missions.

(2) USES.–The Ready Reserve Corps shall–

(A) participate in routine training to meet the general and specific needs of the Commissioned Corps;

(B) be available and ready for involuntary calls to active duty during national emergencies and public health crises, similar to the uniformed service reserve personnel;

(C) be available for back filling critical positions left vacant during deployment of active duty Commissioned Corps members, as well as for deployment to respond to public health emergencies, both foreign and domestic; and

(D) be available for service assignment in isolated, hardship, and medically underserved communities (as defined in section 399SS) to improve access to health services.

(d) FUNDING.—For the purpose of carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the Commissioned Corps under this section, there are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary to the Office of the Surgeon General for each of fiscal years 2010 through 2014. Funds appropriated under this subsection shall be used for recruitment and training of Commissioned Corps Officers.

With ObamaCARE now passed, containing the Cornhusker Kickback, Gator-Aid, the Lousiana Purchase, and other shady deals, Investors Business Daily gives up 20 ways that ObamaCARE will take away our freedoms. IBD’s sections described below are taken from HR 3590 as agreed to by the Senate and from the reconciliation bill which takes out the Cornhusker Kickback and Gator-Aid as displayed by the Rules Committee.

1. You are young and don’t want health insurance? You are starting up a small business and need to minimize expenses, and one way to do that is to forego health insurance? Tough. You have to pay $750 annually for the “privilege.” (Section 1501)

2. You are young and healthy and want to pay for insurance that reflects that status? Tough. You’ll have to pay for premiums that cover not only you, but also the guy who smokes three packs a day, drink a gallon of whiskey and eats chicken fat off the floor. That’s because insurance companies will no longer be able to underwrite on the basis of a person’s health status. (Section 2701).

3. You would like to pay less in premiums by buying insurance with lifetime or annual limits on coverage? Tough. Health insurers will no longer be able to offer such policies, even if that is what customers prefer. (Section 2711).

4. Think you’d like a policy that is cheaper because it doesn’t cover preventive care or requires cost-sharing for such care? Tough. Health insurers will no longer be able to offer policies that do not cover preventive services or offer them with cost-sharing, even if that’s what the customer wants. (Section 2712).

5. You are an employer and you would like to offer coverage that doesn’t allow your employers’ slacker children to stay on the policy until age 26? Tough. (Section 2714).

6. You must buy a policy that covers ambulatory patient services, emergency services, hospitalization, maternity and newborn care, mental health and substance use disorder services, including behavioral health treatment; prescription drugs; rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices; laboratory services; preventive and wellness services; chronic disease management; and pediatric services, including oral and vision care.
You’re a single guy without children? Tough, your policy must cover pediatric services. You’re a woman who can’t have children? Tough, your policy must cover maternity services. You’re a teetotaler? Tough, your policy must cover substance abuse treatment. (Add your own violation of personal freedom here.) (Section 1302).

7. Do you want a plan with lots of cost-sharing and low premiums? Well, the best you can do is a “Bronze plan,” which has benefits that provide benefits that are actuarially equivalent to 60% of the full actuarial value of the benefits provided under the plan. Anything lower than that, tough. (Section 1302 (d) (1) (A))

8. You are an employer in the small-group insurance market and you’d like to offer policies with deductibles higher than $2,000 for individuals and $4,000 for families? Tough. (Section 1302 (c) (2) (A).

9. If you are a large employer (defined as at least 101 employees) and you do not want to provide health insurance to your employee, then you will pay a $750 fine per employee (It could be $2,000 to $3,000 under the reconciliation changes). Think you know how to better spend that money? Tough. (Section 1513).

10. You are an employer who offers health flexible spending arrangements and your employees want to deduct more than $2,500 from their salaries for it? Sorry, can’t do that. (Section 9005 (i)).

11. If you are a physician and you don’t want the government looking over your shoulder? Tough. The Secretary of Health and Human Services is authorized to use your claims data to issue you reports that measure the resources you use, provide information on the quality of care you provide, and compare the resources you use to those used by other physicians. Of course, this will all be just for informational purposes. It’s not like the government will ever use it to intervene in your practice and patients’ care. Of course not. (Section 3003 (i))

12. If you are a physician and you want to own your own hospital, you must be an owner and have a “Medicare provider agreement” by Feb. 1, 2010. (Dec. 31, 2010 in the reconciliation changes.) If you didn’t have those by then, you are out of luck. (Section 6001 (i) (1) (A))

13. If you are a physician owner and you want to expand your hospital? Well, you can’t (Section 6001 (i) (1) (B). Unless, it is located in a country where, over the last five years, population growth has been 150% of what it has been in the state (Section 6601 (i) (3) ( E)). And then you cannot increase your capacity by more than 200% (Section 6001 (i) (3) (C)).

14. You are a health insurer and you want to raise premiums to meet costs? Well, if that increase is deemed “unreasonable” by the Secretary of Health and Human Services it will be subject to review and can be denied. (Section 1003)

15. The government will extract a fee of $2.3 billion annually from the pharmaceutical industry. If you are a pharmaceutical company what you will pay depends on the ratio of the number of brand-name drugs you sell to the total number of brand-name drugs sold in the U.S. So, if you sell 10% of the brand-name drugs in the U.S., what you pay will be 10% multiplied by $2.3 billion, or $230,000,000. 17. The government will extract a fee of $6.7 billion annually from insurance companies. If you are an insurer, what you will pay depends on your share of net premiums plus 200% of your administrative costs. So, if your net premiums and administrative costs are equal to 10% of the total, you will pay 10% of $6.7 billion, or $670,000,000. In the reconciliation bill, the fee will start at $8 billion in 2014, $11.3 billion in 2015, $1.9 billion in 2017, and $14.3 billion in 2018 (Section 1406).Think you, as an insurance executive, know how to better spend that money? Tough.(Section 9010 (b) (1) (A and B).)

18. If an insurance company board or its stockholders think the CEO is worth more than $500,000 in deferred compensation? Tough.(Section 9014).

19. You will have to pay an additional 0.5% payroll tax on any dollar you make over $250,000 if you file a joint return and $200,000 if you file an individual return. What? You think you know how to spend the money you earned better than the government? Tough. (Section 9015).
That amount will rise to a 3.8% tax if reconciliation passes. It will also apply to investment income, estates, and trusts. You think you know how to spend the money you earned better than the government? Like you need to ask. (Section 1402).

20. If you go for cosmetic surgery, you will pay an additional 5% tax on the cost of the procedure. Think you know how to spend that money you earned better than the government? Tough. (Section 9017).

This article here is the most disturbing article I've read in a very long time. It has made me sad and seriously concerned. It seems a psychological experiment was done on a group of people to see if they could be turned into torturers!!!!!!! Can you believe it? "The Game of Death" its called. This group of people thought they were on a TV pilot for a game show. They were to be contestants. They were required to "zap a man with electricity until he cries for mercy -- then zap him again until he seems to drop dead". This makes me sick and scared but it gets better because what do you think the out come of this little experiment was? " 80 percent of the contestants went all the way, zapping the victim with the maximum 460 volts until he appeared to die. Out of 80 players, just 16 walked out. Think about that folks! We have been fluoridated, chemical-ized, beaten down, dumbed down and anaesthetised. We have been reduced to slaves performing like gladiators for the king! Some of the best news I've heard all week is this article: McCain’s Draconian Dietary Supplement Bill Dead I am so very happy to know that we got that horrible bill squashed!

But the next one to keep our eyes on is this one: Dissenters To Be Detained As “Enemy Belligerents”? This bill, quietly slipped through on Thursday is called “Enemy Belligerent, Interrogation, Detention, and Prosecution Act of 2010,” introduced by those traitors Senators John McCain and Joseph Lieberman? This one is so unconstitutional and repulsive in its scope. If this one gets through it's just another Patriot Act that opens the door for them to come in and just arrest you, detain you and most probably, make you disappear, based on what ever they want to make up. Think about the Nazi's that just knocked on doors and people disappeared! According to the summary, the bill sets out a comprehensive policy for the detention, interrogation and trial of suspected enemy belligerents who are believed to have engaged in hostilities against the United States by requiring these individuals to be held in military custody, interrogated for their intelligence value and not provided with a Miranda warning. Keep in mind folks that "hostilities against the United States" could be ANYTHING. Right now the main stream media is demonizing all of us asking questions and demanding our rights so imagine if we get together and protest, well, that could (and most possibly would), be used as "hostilities against the United States". Lets get behind this and get it squashed too.

I am happy to write about a meeting I attended last night at our local library. The Northern Hills Patriots is a group of folks in my area of Spearfish, that are doing their patriotic duty and gathering at our local library every first Thursday of the month. I am once again amazed at the news. I heard yesterday that 1 million 800 thousand people lost their jobs just LAST MONTH! If we are averaging a million job losses per month how long do you think it will take until it must be admitted that we are well into a full blown depression? Take a look at the headlines I've posted. I see a theme building, don't you? It's hard for even my sleepy sheeple friends to not see anymore.

I posted a new video on making snares for all you folks that haven't ever done any snare trapping. It is easy to do, easy to learn and good info to know. I have recently added a new item to our survival bags. (See the pictures on the right.) It is a small 4 x 8 x 2 inch high, double sided plastic box. It has separated compartments for all those small things you want to have. One side has fishing gear and the other side has snares, matches, sewing needles and extra line. This is an easy box to put together and so useful.

A couple new items I've bought

I have been doing a spring fast/cleanse this last couple weeks which is why my blog entries have been not so frequent. I feel it is important to do a real thorough spring cleaning of our bodies. I try to do one every year and feel so much better for it. Especially these days with all the CRAP being sprayed on us via chem trails. This fast/cleanse that I do is intense and now that i am almost at the end of it ( I am at day 16 today with 5 more days to go) I feel sooooo much better. My eye sight is crisp and clear again. My mind is clearer. I feel lighter in both emotions and body. I breathe better and deeper. I sleep so much better. My body is not tense. I was starting to feel like I was grinding my teeth, clenching my gut and holding my breath 24/7. Even when I thought I was calm, my body was not. These days with all that is going on in our world and all that we are facing as a society I felt even more impressed to do my cleanse this year. I really needed some calm clarity. I encourage you all to do some research and find a cleanse/fast that you feel you could do. Even though we have one of the healthiest diets and lifestyles I know of I still, every year, get benefit from a good cleanse.

I would like to ask you to take a moment and check in with your gut instincts as you read todays post. You know that feeling you get when someone is lying to you. That feeling you get when someone is watching you. If you have kids most likely you know that feeling when they are trying to scam you. Now take a look at the "news of the day". It just really hit me today the unreality of the news. Aspartame is being marketed as good, obama is declaring he is going to rule as a tyrant does and no one is saying a bad word about it. The internet is shutting down, WHO admits the swine flu was really a big lie. Small towns are printing their own money-as they did during the Depression. And then I ran across this bit of news: Police chiefs resigning/fired all over the country. I did some checking and here are a couple links. Just search engine it and you will find plenty of info on it.

The question everyone is asking about this police chief info is what do they know that we don't? In some instances I found that some of these police chief are resigning with only four months to go until retirement. Seriously, why would someone resign with only four months to go until retirement? Did they get info that made them decide their families safety was more important than waiting another 4 months until retirement? Now take all this and all the other news you have heard recently and run it past your gut instinct. What does it tell you? Mine tells me that something bad is coming and soon. It tells me to continue prepping and do all I can, to be as ready as I can, as soon as I can.

Obama Declares He Will Rule by Authoritarian Decree

The Obama administration has announced it will now rule by fascist decree and ignore Congress and the American people.
“With much of his legislative agenda stalled in Congress, President Obama and his team are preparing an array of actions using his executive power to advance energy, environmental, fiscal and other domestic policy priorities,” reports The New York Times. “We are reviewing a list of presidential executive orders and directives to get the job done across a front of issues,” said Rahm Emanuel, the White House chief of staff who is fond of cracking his knuckles in Obama’s face.

According to The New York Times, ruling in authoritarian fashion is normal and acceptable. “Any president has vast authority to influence policy even without legislation, through executive orders, agency rule-making and administrative fiat.”
In fact, Obama’s plan to rule by authoritarian decree is unconstitutional. Article I, Section 1 of the Constitution states: “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.” Article II, Section 3 states that the president may call Congress into emergency session during a national crisis.
In other words, rule buy fiat is treason. Another section of the Constitution covers treason. Article II, Section. 4 states: “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”
Rahm Emanuel should be arrested and prosecuted for treason under federal statute, specifically Title 18 U.S.C. § 2. It states: “Whoever commits an offense against the United States or aids, abets, counsels, commands, induces or procures its commission, is punishable as a principal.”
Treason is spelled out in Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution. “The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason,” it states.
“White House officials said the increased focus on executive authority reflected a natural evolution from the first year to the second year of any presidency,” The New York Times continues.
Hitler exploited this “natural evolution” to turn Germany into a fascist dictatorship through executive orders. In fact, Reagan, Clinton and Bush the Lesser issued a flurry of executive orders that surpassed anything Hitler or Stalin issued.
Executive orders have been around since the beginning of the republic. George Washington issued a number of proclamations, dispositions and recommendations. For instance, a suggestion that a day of Thanksgiving take place on Thursday, November26, 1789. He was severely criticized for issuing a proclamation suggesting U.S. citizens joining or aiding the war between Austria, Prussia, Sardinia, Britain and the Netherlands be prosecuted. George Washington’s proclamations, however, did not over rule legislation passed by Congress.

Executive orders did not really pick up steam until the presidency of Abraham Lincoln. During the invasion of the South for opposing the federal government, Lincoln issued a large number of executive orders allowing the federal military to steal land and turn prisoners of war into forced labor slaves.
The grand daddy of executive orders was Franklin Roosevelt. He issued 3,723 of them. Here is a sample. Roosevelt’s most notorious executive order was 6102. It permitted the federal government to steal all privately held gold in the United States.
Ronald Reagan — sold to the people as a “conservative” — issued 381 executive orders, more than George W. Bush. Clinton came close to Reagan. He issued 364. Reagan violated the Constitution directly when he issued Executive Order 12611 ordering “Assistance for Central American Democracies and the Nicaraguan Democratic Resistance,” in other words providing assistance to the Contras, a violation of the Boland Amendment.
Clinton used executive orders to defy Congress and conduct a murder campaign against the people of Yugoslavia. Clinton also violated Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution when he bombed the European country. Article 1, Section 8 states that “Congress shall have power to… declare War,” not the president.
During the election, Obama not only said he would not issue executive orders but he would reverse those issued during the Bush era. On his very first day in office, Obama broke this pledge and implemented and signed into law Executive Order 13489 barring the release of presidential records (presumably including his birth certificate).
Obama also signed executive orders allowing Interpol to operate beyond the law in the United States and establishing the Council of Governors.
Obama will continue the process of rule by decree established by his predecessors. He will rule in the tradition of the Roman Second Triumvirate and the Lex Titia decree under Gaius Octavian, general Mark Antony and pontifex maximus Aemilius Lepidus.
It should be noted that the resolution paved the way for the Final War of the Roman Republic and the total collapse of republican government.

For all of you on the east coast-did you know that "Adirondack" means tree eaters? I have been researching edible trees and have found a long history of indigenous peoples adding tree parts to their diet. Not just in survival situations either. They added them as a regular part of their diet for the nutrition that trees provide. Interesting huh? Sap, twigs, inner bark, needles. All of these can be added to your diet to add nutrition. Pine for instance is very high in vitamin C. Here is a list of some edible trees: Aspen, Balsam Poplar, White Birch, Two-Needled Pine, Ponderosa Pine, Larches, Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Spruces. Spring is right around the corner and as I was planning my garden I was reminded about "companion planting". There is a lot of info in books and on the web for you to check out. I also wanted to pass on a wonderful link about acorns. They grow just about everywhere and are delicious, nutritious and FREE. In a survival situation you will be glad to know how to prepare them and eat them. The brown soaking water can even be used in the process of animal hide tanning and has both antiseptic and antiviral properties. It also gives clear instructions on drying, storing and preparing them. It is important to know that you need to soak them to leech out the tannic acid to make it tasty and edible.
Grandpappy's Basic Acorn Recipes
Acorn grits may be deep fried and eaten as a side dish.
Acorn grits may be added to soups or salads.
Acorn grits may be fried briefly in a skillet and then used as one of the ingredients in a granola snack recipe.
Acorn meal may be used in most recipes to replace 1/4 of the flour or 1/4 the corn meal. However, since acorn meal contains natural sweetness, you should reduce any other sweeteners in the recipe by 1/4.
Ground acorn nutmeats may be roasted and then used as a weak coffee substitute.
Indian Acorn Griddlecakes
2 cups acorn meal
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup water
Preparation: Combine everything and beat to a stiff batter. Let stand for one hour.Cook: Heat 1 tbsp. of fat or oil in frying pan. Drop batter into pan to form cakes about 3 to 4 inches across. Brown cakes slowly on both sides. These cakes will keep for several days.
Mexican Acorn Tortillas
2 cups acorn meal
3/4 cup flour
2 tsp. salt
Preparation: Mix ingredients. Add just enough water to make a stiff dough. Let stand for 30 minutes.Cook: Squeeze into small balls and then press each ball into a very thin flat cake. Fry in a lightly greased skillet until brown on both sides. Use just enough fat or oil to prevent sticking.
Acorn Pemmican Tortilla
1/2 cup acorn meal
1 pound lean meat, cut in thin strips
Several tortillas
Cook: Boil the lean meat in salted water until tender. Drain and allow to dry. Grind the meat and the acorn meal together using a fine grinding blade. Mix well and then grind a second time. Heat and serve wrapped in a tortilla, or on any flat bread.Variation: Add cooked white rice, or cooked beans, or hot sauce, or grated cheese as part of the tortilla stuffing.
Pioneer Acorn Bread and Acorn Muffins
1 cup acorn meal
1 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. baking powder
3 tbsp. oil
1 cup milk (or water)Optional: You may add 1 egg to the above ingredients.Preparation: Combine milk, egg (if available), and oil and beat until smooth. Mix in the acorn meal, flour, salt, and baking powder and stir into a smooth dough. Place in a greased bread pan.Cook: Bake at 400ºF for 30 minutes. Cool and serve.Variation: Acorn Muffins: Fill greased muffin tins about 2/3 full with above mixture and bake at 400ºF for 20 minutes.
Pioneer Acorn Pancakes
Preparation: Use the above recipe for Pioneer Acorn Bread, but use 2 eggs and 1 1/4 cups milk.Cook: Drop batter from a ladle onto a hot greased grill. When bottom is brown, turn once and brown other side. Serve with butter, or syrup, or honey, or jelly, or fresh fruit.
Breakfast Acorn meal (Similar to Oatmeal)
1 cup acorn meal
2.5 cups water
1/8 cup hickory nuts or black walnuts, crushed
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. honey or sugar
Boil the water with the salt. Add the acorn meal and continue boiling for 15 minutes. Turn off heat. Allow to cool for about five minutes. Stir in the honey and nuts. Very satisfying and delicious, and it will provide enough energy for a day of rigorous physical activity.
Acorn and Corn Meal Mush
1/2 cup acorn meal
4 cups water
1 cup corn meal
1 tsp. salt
Cook: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in the top half of a double boiler. Add the salt. Sprinkle the acorn meal slowly into the boiling water and stir continuously. Then add the corn meal. When the mixture starts to bubble, it should be able to support a plastic or wooden stirring spoon in the center without the spoon falling over. If too thick, add a little water. If too thin, add a little more cornmeal.Then put the mixture which is in the top half of the double boiler into the bottom half of the double boiler which contains boiling water. Simmer about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally to break up any lumps, until the mush becomes thick. Serve hot for breakfast, lunch, or supper.Variation: May be served with a topping of milk, or butter, or grated cheese, or bacon bits, or honey, or sugar, or fruit, or jam.Variation: Pour above finished, cooked mush into a greased loaf pan and put in the refrigerator for about 8 hours. It will become solid and then it can be sliced with a knife into 1/2 inch thick slices. Coat each slice with flour and fry in a very thin layer of oil, one side at a time. Serve with butter, or syrup, or jam (similar to French toast).
Acorn Bread
2 cups acorn meal
1/2 cup milk (or water)
1 tbsp. baking powder
2 cups wheat flour
3 tbsp. butter or olive oil
1 egg (optional)Optional Sweeteners: Add 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup or sugar, if available.Preparation: Combine all the above ingredients and pour into a loaf pan.Cook : Bake at 400ºF for 30 minutes or until done. Yields a moist bread with a sweet nutty flavor.
Glazed Acorn Treats
Boiled dry whole acorn kernels
2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1 cup water
Preparation: Mix and dissolve the sugar, salt, and cream of tartar in 1 cup of water.Cook: Bring above mixture to a boil in a small pot. Continue to boil until the mixture first begins to show signs of browning. Then immediately put the small pot into a larger pot of boiling water to keep the mixture in a liquid state. (Or use a double boiler.) Use a pair of tweezers to dip individual whole acorn kernels (previously shelled, boiled and dried), one at a time into the mixture and then put each acorn onto a sheet of wax paper to dry and harden. Serve as a candied covered nut.
Acorn Cookies
2 cups wheat flour
1 cup white (or brown) sugar
1 tsp. baking powder (or baking soda)
1 cup acorn grits
1/2 cup shortening
1 tsp. salt
Preparation: Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a large bowl, cream the shortening and the sugar. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Then blend in the acorn grits. Pinch off walnut sized pieces of dough and roll into balls. Place 1.5" apart on a lightly greased baking sheet.Cook: Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly colored. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.Variation: Add 1 egg and/or 1 tsp. vanilla extract.

I mentioned in a recent post that I like to garden using the Square Foot Method. But I came across this idea of vertical gardening the other day and I think I'm going to give it a try this year. It seems logical, easy and efficient. I figure we gotta give new things a try before we need to use them in a survival situation. I think under certain circumstances, gardening this way may be easier. Picture you just have a shovel and the soil is pretty rocky. Anyone who has turned over soil in certain areas knows just what I mean. It will be easier to set up some of these as opposed to turning over a large area. Also it would be less visible if properly placed.
Vertical gardening:
Make a column out of chicken wire and tar paper or cardboard about 3 1/2 feet high, 14 inches diameter. Hold a 4 inch diameter pipe in center and fill with sand and stones (for watering), fill the rest of the area with good soil. Remove the pipe. Cut 3 inch slits around the outside thru the wire and paper in a spiral pattern. Insert seedlings in slits (40-60). Can be used on sidewalks, balconies, roofs. Sizes are arbitrary. 4 or 5 should feed a family plenty of vegetables, plant about 2 weeks apart to keep a steady harvest. (submitted by Tom Osher). Jerky is such an easy thing to make in your dehydrator or oven. It is relatively easy to pick up an extra roast on sale or even hamburger each week. I like making jerky out of hamburger. It makes the jerky easier to chew for children or older folks with teeth issues. Just shape the burger into patties after mixing in spices. Yumm!
To Prepare Jerky
First prepare the meat. Slice it evenly, and not much thicker than 1/4 inch. If you are doing this in your kitchen and not on the trail, freeze it for awhile until it is firm. This trick makes it much easier to slice thinly. The thicker it is the tougher it is, the longer it takes to dry, and the more chance it has to mold or go bad. Either soak the meat in a fairly strong brine, a cup of salt to a quart of water, for ten or fifteen minutes, or give it a light, even sprinkle of salt and let it sit a bit. A good dusting of black pepper or red chile is also nice, and keeps off bugs. If the weather is dry and cool, you can just hang the jerky in a sheltered spot where a bit of breeze can get to it and it will be well dried in a few days. If you live where it is damp and warm, dry your jerky on racks over a low, smoky fire. It can also be done quite nicely on racks in an oven, set to the lowest possible heat. Jerky is done when it is dark brown and the texture of old, dry shoe leather. Don't let it become gray or crackly dry. Jerky without grease in it will keep for a long, long time in airtight bags.
I personally Love Pemmican. I have had the good fortune of making some wonderful friends who are Lakota people. Through them I have the chance to try a lot of their historically staple recipes.
To make Pemmican, take a good handful of jerky and beat it to a pulp on a rock. You can also use a food processor. Add an equal quantity of good softened fat, either bear or beef is excellent, and a good handful of dry fruit or berries. Mash all together well with a bit of salt, form into small bars and let sit for a bit. Wrap in large leaves or aluminum foil. This is about as compact and nutritious as 2012 survival / trail food gets. It furnishes lots of energy, and you can live for extended periods on it with little else for food.
Both Jerky and Pemmican can be eaten by themselves, or you can add to stews or soups. They are both extremely nutritious, and valuable additions to your survival stash. They are easy to store and carry. If you live where there is game for the taking, this is as close to free food as you can get.

Here is an "old timer" recipe for making homemade yeast for your bread. What happens if the stores are closed or they are out of food or you've gone through what you've stored up?

Yeast
Place one pint of hops in a cloth bag and boil for a couple of hours in a gallon of water.
Peel and slice a gallon of potatoes and boil with the hops for another hour.
Pour the liquid over a pint of flour.

Sunflower Bannock(Missiiagan-Pakwejigan)(Fried)
3 1/4 cups sunflower seeds
3 1/4 cups water
2 1/2 tsp salt
6 tbsp corn flour
2/3 cup corn oil
Put the sunflower seeds, water and salt into a pot, cover and let simmer for 11/2 hours. When well cooked, crush the seeds to make a paste. Add the corn flour, 1 tbsp at a time to thicken. Work with your hands; cool a little.
Make small, flat pancakes of approximately 5 inches in diameter. Heat oil and fry both sides, adding more oil if necessary. Drain well and eat. These are wonderful.

Basic Bannock Recipe(Fried or Stick-cooked)
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3 tbsp margarine/butter
2 tbsp skim milk powder (optional)
Sift together the dry ingredients. Cut in the margarine until the mixture resembles a coarse meal (at this point it can be sealed it in a zip lock bag for field use). Grease and heat a frying pan. Working quickly, add enough COLD water to the pre-packaged dry mix to make a firm dough. Once the water is thoroughly mixed into the dough, form the dough into cakes about 1/2 inch thick. Dust the cakes lightly with flour to make them easier to handle. Lay the bannock cakes in the warm frying pan. Hold them over the heat, rotating the pan a little. Once a bottom crust has formed and the dough has hardened enough to hold together, you can turn the bannock cakes. Cooking takes 12-15 minutes. If you are in the field and you don’t have a frying pan, make a thicker dough by adding less water and roll the dough into a long ribbon (no wider than 1 inch). Wind this around a preheated green, hardwood stick and cook about 8 inches over a fire, turning occasionally, until the bannock is cooked.

Square Foot Gardening

Well I suppose all of you watched the spectacle called "The State of the Union Address". I watched out of sheer force of will. I was only able to watch an hour and 10 minutes before having to turn it off. I feel it is necessary to face your enemy, look them in the eye and name them, so I watched. I sat there in shock as first, this traitorous president and all his minions clapped and clapped and clapped in praise and worship. Then Barry Obama started speaking.....Or should I say lying! And lying and lying and lying.......But we all expected that of course. What really got me though was all those minions CONSTANTLY standing, clapping and praising everything he said. I kept thinking "Those elected officials, the ones that are supposed to represent us, the people, should have been boo-ing at what he was saying, not praising him! My 10 year old made a comment that the two people behind him, Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi looked like a clown and a bobble head-Biden had a ridiculous clown grin like he was in on some funny, outrageous, secret joke and Pelosi was like a bobble head toy-she looked up and smiled then looked down and her face went blank-up smile, down blank, up smile, down blank. So with anger and nausea I watched the clown, the bobble head and the emperor who has no clothes and thought wow, we are in for some big trouble ahead!

Two things have been on my mind lately. The first is planning my garden. I love to garden. My favorite way to set up my garden is using the "square foot" method. It was developed by Mel Bartholomew and he says: "The square foot system lets you make the most of your garden space to conserve the amount of water, soil conditioners, and labor needed to produce a maximum amount of food in that space. A square foot garden takes only one-fifth the space and work of a conventional single-row garden to produce the same harvest." The second thing on my mind lately is our tax return. Hopefully if you are reading this you are not like most people I know, who use their tax return for paying off those bills that got away from them over the year or buying more "toys". Most people I know can't wait to spend their tax return and it usually goes to frivolous things. This year I am asking all my friends to rethink what is important and to look at what is going on in the Country. I'm saying "ya know, you really should think about spending that tax return on storeable food, survival items, or that gun you've been wanting to buy". I sure do hope that my friends take my advise and look to their future instead of the instant gratification of buying some new "thing".

As long as we are talking about survival situations, survival bags and supplies, there is a web site I hope all of you will check out. It's called Survival Outdoor Skills. Find it here: http://www.survivaloutdoorskills.com/ I really like this site and have referred to it often and used a lot of the suggestions. It is run by US Army Ranger (Ret.) Rick F. Tscherne. I learned a lot from his writings, and learned easier ways to do some of the outdoor things I was already doing. He sells an item called "The Ranger Rick Digest". I bought these a while back and not only enjoyed the military humor and comics that were in them but learned a lot. His suggestions make sense and they work! I am in the process of looking for a long stick of bamboo to make a survival walking stick. Just one of his many good ideas. Food Items We Have in Bug Out Back Packs

Today I wanted to share some food items we have in our packs. One item is Sioux Corn Meal Wasna and the recipe is from this site: http://www.ethnicook.com/recipes/Sioux.htm
Wasna is a kind of power bar, rolled into balls, that hearkens back to when most of the Lakhota/Nakota/Dakota people were settled farmers in the Midwest. Browning the corn meal reproduces the flavor of the parched corn used as travel supplies by Native Americans across the country.

2-1/2 pounds corn meal
1/2 box raisins (1/2 pound)
2 cups sugar
1 cup tallow (render from suet, or substitute
solid shortening)
Equipment: two cake pans to brown flour,
saucepan to melt tallow, wax paper
1. Pour corn meal into two large cake pans, and
brown 30 minutes in a 325-degree oven. Or brown in dry cast iron frying pan on medium, stirring constantly.
2. "Soak raisins in enough water to moisten every
raisin."
3. Stir corn meal and let it cool.
4. Mix corn meal, sugar, and raisins.
5. Melt tallow in a saucepan over low heat. Don't
let it get too hot or catch fire.
6. Mix melted tallow thoroughly with corn meal
mixture.
7. Roll wasna in into 1-1/2-inch balls, and wrap
in wax paper.
8. Chill or freeze to harden.

This is a very delicious recipe. Satisfying, nutritious, and filling. It can also be left crumbly and then just eaten with fingers or spoon. I have made this recipe as is and also added a variety of ground nuts, seeds, wheat germ and a variety of dried fruit. The point of this recipe is it's nutritional value. If you add this to your stored food, make sure you seal it tightly or vacuum seal it to make it last longer. After being stored for awhile, if its not vacuum sealed it will start to taste stale.

Here is a complete list of what is in our survival packs. I have kept it to a minimum while trying to make it comprehensive without weighting a couple tons! When you first try to put together this type of "Bug Out" bag, at least for me, it was tough to not end up with a pack that was just too heavy to carry. My personal belief is if we need to hit the trail with our bags than I felt we needed to have basics for health and survival that we could not replace. These include things like a solar colloidal Silver maker, a comprehensive med kit, solar battery charger with rechargeable batteries. A water purifier, gas masks and Potassium Iodide if we have any nuclear fallout. At a minimum, you need a way to stay dry, cook food as well as the know how to trap, hunt and fish and Dr. yourself. I made my "baby wipes" by buying a container of baby wipes and some terry cloth. I cut the cloth into appropriate size to fit the container, sewed up the edges so they don't unravel and folded them to fit the baby wipes container. Now I have reusable face, body, wash cloths. I feel personally that ANY situation can be dealt with better if we can at least wipe our brow and wash our hands!
Another thing I have listed, is a solar fire started called a Solar Spark. You can buy it here: http://store.sundancesolar.com/sospliposiso.html I really like it. I think it is easier than the magnesium fire starter. So on sunny days I prefer to use this.
The nutmeg and honey I listed for diarrhea, is my grandfathers herbal recipe. Just about 1/4 tsp with a glass of water is always seems to stop it very quickly.

We have have two types of survival blankets in our packs. One kind is a light weight blanket by "Heatsheets" One place to get them is here: http://www.adventuremedicalkits.com/product.php?product=145&catname=Essentials&prodname=Heatsheets®%20Emergency%20Blanket This smaller survival blanket is kept in a pocket. As I have said, we have a vest with a bunch of pockets all over so these small survival items I've mentioned would be kept in that. These are, in my opinion, better than the small silver blankets you can get at any grocery store. They are slightly bigger, 84' x 56" versus the silver blanket of 84" x 36" and only cost about 4. dollars. These are virtually the same thin silver material, but with a plastic coating that makes it more like a thin blanket and less easily torn.

The other type which is kept in the main compartment of our packs is of a type called: SPACE® Brand All-Weather Hooded Thermal Survival Blanket-I bought mine here; http://www.safetycentral.com/hoodalrefbla.html and they cost about 15 dollars. These are great. They are plenty big (5' x 6') and very durable. Tough enough to be used as a ground cover and light weight at 10 oz. I especially like the hood that is on these so they work great as a poncho.
Another item I feel is handy if not essential is a bunch of rubber bands of various sizes. You'll be surprised how handy they are. I make mine from old bike inner tubes and just cut them to various sizes-thin and wide, up to 1/2 inch wide is my largest size.

Items to have in your "Bug out" Back pack-part 2

Today I am sharing pictures of my cook stove and fire starters I have used and like. It is called a Sierra Zip Stove. One place you can buy it is here: http://zzstove.com/mcart/index.html It burns twigs, pine cones, leaves, bark, and other woods readily available around a campsite, as well as charcoal and other solid fuels. I like it because you don't have to carry fuel. I keep a small bundle of dried twigs with the stove just in case it's raining and I need to get a fire going. It has a battery operated adjustable speed fan which works like a forge. You can get a very hot fire going with a few twigs and pine cones, in just a few minutes. The sellers say: "the SIERRA weighs only 1 lb yet creates up to 18,000 BTU/hr, enough heat to boil a quart of water in four minutes". It has a windshield for faster cooking on windy days and a grill for barbecuing burgers, squirrel etc. I have figured out a way to even use it as a rotisserie. The one and only draw back in a survival situation is the single AA battery needed to run the fan. We overcame that issue by buying a solar battery charger which we use for other items we have, like our walkie-talkies. I love this thing. It is lightweight, efficient, easy to use and leaves no sign of any cook fire. You can use it under your lean-to and you don't need to carry/buy fuel.
The other pictures are of various fire starters I have made that are quick and easy to make and really help get a fire going in any situation. The first picture is of a cardboard and match type fire starter. You make them by first dipping strike anywhere wooden matches in paraffin wax. This makes them waterproof and helps keep them burning. Next cut strips of cardboard about an inch wide and 6-12 inches long and dip them in wax also. Next wrap the strips of cardboard around 4-6 of the waxed matches and tie with string. Finally hold the string tail and dip again in wax to hold everything together. I have made two sizes. The smaller 6 inch strips of cardboard are perfect for the survival pack and the ones made with longer strips of cardboard for general camping use. These are of course a limited supply item but they are worth making and keeping for wet, cold weather situations. With one of these fire starters, some pine cones and a little gentle patience you can get a good fire going even in wet weather.
The next fire starter I have used is so simple and I have used them in plenty of situations. Simply put a bunch of dryer lint in each section of an egg carton. Then pour melted paraffin wax over it. There is no need to fill it with the wax, just about a tablespoon spooned over is enough. These work great but are only used around the fire pit. I feel these are too big for survival packing.
The final fire starting item I have is a small zip lock bag of cotton balls mixed with petroleum jelly. These are my favorite. You can make a small zip lock bag that fits into your pocket. The small baggie in the picture will start about 30 fires. It is very small and easy to tuck into a pocket. They burn like crazy. I love these. Or you can keep a larger bag in your pack. These are simple to make and take up very little space. One cotton ball saturated in the petroleum jelly is enough to get a fire going. I made them by taking a bunch of cotton balls and putting them in my zip lock bag, scooped in a few heaping tablespoons of the petroleum jelly and set it in the sun for a few hours. Every once in a while I would squeeze and work the bag to get the jelly to saturate the cotton balls and that was it. When you want to start a fire separate a cotton ball and sort of fluff it up by pulling it apart and presto-instant fire.

Things are indeed heating up and this new year looks pretty bleek. Last year I made some predictions about 2010 to my family based on news articles I was reading and sure enough it looks like since all the plans are in place they are indeed moving forward.

I am going to focus my blog for awhile on the prepared "bug out" back packs we have. It is of course the last option. But a time may come where we have to leave our home and possibly leave in a hurry. I feel I must be prepared to "grab and go". I have a family of four. Two adults and two kids aged 9 and 10. The back packs are larger for us adults and heavier of course. Our packs are 7000 cubic inches when expanded fully so they can hold, honestly, more than I can carry. I chose to buy the largest ones for us because I wanted the ability to fill it if needed.

Pictured is the contents of a "survival container", one for each person, that easily fits in a pocket. We all have a fishermans type vest which carries various containers like this one. I have a few different varieties of these small containers so that if something happens and you lose the pack you still have some basic survival gear on your body.

This container is a small play dough container but could be anything of an appropriate pocket size and yet holds plenty with a little ingenuity.

Contents: various sized fishing hooks, bobbers, and various weights, strong fishing line wrapped around a piece of plastic. This can be used for fishing or snare traps for birds or even stitching up a cut if needed. There is a lighter and small swiss army type knife. Various sized needles for sewing, make sure you have a couple with large eyes. A big roll of sinew which can be natural or synthetic, both are equally strong and useful. Sinew can be used for a trap for small animal, sewing up just about anything, tying down or lashing together a tarp or sticks for lean-to/shelters. I love this stuff. It can be separated into small, thin strands for light sewing or thicker strands for heavier stuff like gloves or jeans or left whole for lashing. It is very light weight yet strong and you can have a large amount in a relatively small roll. Taped to the outside is a survival blanket.

You watched at first with hope and excitement as your movement, your cause, your message began to spread, as it was taken up by the media and given attention, as conferences were organized and as the ideas you had struggled so long and hard to be heard were talked about nationally. Then internationally.
You watched with growing unease as the message was simplified. First it became a slogan. Then it became a brand. Soon it was nothing more than a label and it became attached to products. The ideas you had once fought for were now being sold back to you. For profit.
You watched with growing unease as the message became parroted, not argued, worn like a fashion rather than something that came from the conviction of understanding.
You disagreed when the slogans–and then the science–were dumbed down. When carbon dioxide became the focus and CO2 was taken up as a political cause. Soon it was the only cause.
You knew that Al Gore was not a scientist, that his evidence was factually incorrect, that the movement was being taken over by a cause that was not your own, one that relied on beliefs you did not share to propose a solution you did not want. It began to reach a breaking point when you saw that the solutions being proposed were not solutions at all, when they began to propose new taxes and new markets that would only serve to line their own pockets.
You knew something was wrong when you saw them argue for a cap-and-trade scheme proposed by Ken Lay, when you saw Goldman Sachs position itself to ride the carbon trading bubble, when the whole thrust of the movement became ways to make money or spend money or raise money from this panic.
Your movement had been hijacked.
The realization came the first time you read The Club of Rome’s 1991 book, The First Global Revolution, which says:
“In searching for a common enemy against whom we can unite, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like, would fit the bill. In their totality and their interactions these phenomena do constitute a common threat which must be confronted by everyone together. But in designating these dangers as the enemy, we fall into the trap, which we have already warned readers about, namely mistaking symptoms for causes. All these dangers are caused by human intervention in natural processes, and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy then is humanity itself.”
And when you looked at the Club of Rome’s elite member roster. And when you learnt about eugenics and the Rockefeller ties to the Kaiser Willhelm Institute and the practice of crypto-eugenics and the rise of overpopulation fearmongering and the call by elitist after elitist after elitist to cull the world population.

Still, you wanted to believe that there was some basis of truth, something real and valuable in the single-minded obsession of this hijacked environmental movement with man made global warming.
Now, in November 2009, the last traces of doubt have been removed.
Last week, an insider leaked internal documents and emails from the Climate Research Unit of East Anglia University and exposed the lies, manipulation and fraud behind the studies that supposedly show 0.6 degrees Celsius of warming over the last 130 years. And the hockey stick graph that supposedly shows unprecedented warming in our times. And the alarmist warning of impending climate disaster.
We now know that these scientists wrote programming notes in the source code of their own climate models admitting that results were being manually adjusted.
We now know that values were being adjusted to conform to scientists’ wishes, not reality.
We now know that the peer review process itself was being perverted to exclude those scientists whose work criticized their findings.
We now know that these scientists privately expressed doubts about the science that they publicly claimed to be settled.
We now know, in short, that they were lying.
It is unknown as yet what the fallout will be from all of this, but it is evident that the fallout will be substantial.
With this crisis, however, comes an opportunity. An opportunity to recapture the movement that the financiers have stolen from the people.
Together, we can demand a full and independent investigation into all of the researchers whose work was implicated in the CRU affair.
We can demand a full re-evaluation of all those studies whose conclusions have been thrown into question by these revelations, and all of the public policy that has been based on those studies.
We can establish new standards of transparency for scientists whose work is taxpayer funded and/or whose work effects public policy, so that everyone has full and equal access to the data used to calculate results and all of the source code used in all of the programs used to model that data.
In other words, we can reaffirm that no cause is worth supporting that requires deception for its propagation.
Even more importantly, we can take back the environmental movement.
We can begin to concentrate on the serious questions that need to be asked about the genetic engineering technology whereby hybrid organisms and new, never-before-seen proteins that are being released into the biosphere in a giant, uncontrolled experiment that threatens the very genome of life on this planet.
We can look into the environmental causes of the explosion in cancer and the staggering drops in fertility over the last 50 years, including the BPA in our plastics and the anti-androgens in the water.
We can examine regulatory agencies that are controlled by the very corporations they are supposedly watching over.
We can begin focusing on depleted uranium and the dumping of toxic waste into the rivers and all of the issues that we once knew were part of the mandate of the real environmental movement.
Or we can, as some have, descend into petty partisan politics. We can decide that lies are OK if they support ‘our’ side. We can defend the reprehensible actions of the CRU researchers and rally around the green flag that has long since been captured by the enemy.
It is a simple decision to make, but one that we must make quickly, before the argument can be spun away and environmentalism can go back to business as usual.
We are at a crossroads of history. And make no mistake, history will be the final judge of our actions. So I leave you today with a simple question: Which side of history do you want to be on?

This is the emergence of Global Government and their New World Order in your face. With talks of a new global currency, a global climate tax, and articles like these: global police force with access to a worldwide database of DNA, biometric and fingerprint records, an international gun-control treaty, an international criminal court treaty, the internet moving towards world government it’s crystal clear what is about to happen to our country.

Just a few things that stood out while I was reading it were these:

"The guiding principles of the Convention should support items b) and c) of the previous paragraph, in terms of common but differentiated responsibilities and respective capabilities; historical responsibilities in greenhouse gas emissions and the related historical ecological debt generated by the cumulative greenhouse gas emissions since 1750" My emphasis. When you read this document you see that the "developed" countries are to pay compensation to developing countries essentially being chastised and penalized for our prosperity since 1750!

"29. Annex I Parties have agreed to clearly delineate their historical responsibilities and their respective contribution to the anthropogenic increase in greenhouse gas emissions. All Parties agree that this was crucial in our collective effort to combat the adverse effects of climate change. All Parties have further agreed that assigned amount calculated must reflect this historical contribution of the Annex I Parties in order to determine an equitable allocation of global atmospheric resources between the developed and the developing countries". Emphasis mine.

"17. [[Developed [and developing] countries] [Developed and developing country Parties] [All Parties] [shall] [should]:](a) Compensate for damage to the LDCs’ economy and also compensate for lost opportunities, resources, lives, land and dignity, as many will become environmental refugees;(b) Africa, in the context of environmental justice, should be equitably compensated for environmental, social and economic losses arising from the implementation of response measures." Emphasis mine.

These are just a few issues that stood out. There are many others just as bad or worse. This is gonna be bad folks and the sad and sorry thing is most of the population is anesthetized and asleep, re-educated, brainwashed and just plain stupid. They are simply numb to the reality of what is about to happen, incapable of seeing how the application of these agendas will affect them, they are apathetic and impotent to do anything or even care. They have willingly put their shackles on and we are going to pay and pay dearly in the near future. Wake up. Spread the word. Share documents. Make copies of movies, fliers and talk, talk, talk! Hydroponic Gardening - Indoors and Year Around

I have been asked by several of my friends to post pictures of my hydroponic garden, so here they are. On the right as you scroll down you will see a series of pictures of my garden as it is today. These plants are 4 weeks old! From being planted in the growing medium to now they have grown like crazy. I give a big shout out of thanks to my friend Big John Lipscomb at http://www.survivalistseeds.com/ for selling the very best seeds I've ever grown-bar none! I have gardened outdoors most of my adult life and have never come across seeds that grow so quickly, produce so well or taste so good. While on our little excursion in the woods this summer I figured I'd try out Big Johns "patriot garden" trick and see how well they would grow when just planted in the ground around the forest. I tried cucumbers, beans and some greens for my "survival garden" trial and they all grew wonderfully. By the time we were ready to pack up and come back to "reality" (and living in a house again), they had produced several wonderful meals and plenty of "grazing" was done on those plants too. Raw veggies just taste soooo good it's hard to not pick them.

The pictures of the collards, swiss chard and lettuce don't show that I have been grazing on them and picking the outer leaves. If I had a phone that took better pictures you could see how green they are too. I also have beans of various varieties growing in pots that hang by a bay window which are also 4 weeks old and as you can tell by the pictures they grow just as well in a pot by the window as my hydroponic plants do.

I chose a hydroponic set up because 1) you can grow more of a variety in a small space or by one window than you can with pots around the house. At least in our house good windows with plenty of light are few. They all seem to be on the wrong side of the house or blocked by trees! My hydroponic setup is in a south facing window which works perfect. I also have a grow light on the ceiling that I switch on when the days are cloudy. 2) some plants just need plenty of water and a consistent supply is better for their growth. Tomatoes like deep watering and a steady supply. So do cucumbers. Hydroponic lettuce is a breeze and once you get a routine of throwing a few new seeds in the soil every week or so, you get a fairly steady supply. 3) I live where we have hard and cold winters, but we love the fresh produce. These days fresh greens and veggies are so ridiculously expensive and most likely Genetically Modified and/or sprayed with all sorts of toxic crud! 4) It's the easiest and dare I say laziest way of gardening I've ever done. All you have to do is make sure you have water and a little fertilizer in the bucket that fills the plant reservoirs, put in some good seed, set up a schedule for rotating your planting so you have a continuous supply of ripe veggies and then sit back and enjoy the crop! I still do garden outdoors in the summer but it's more for quantity of food to store as opposed to a constant supply for the dinner table. 5) Life is busy and it is all too easy to forget to water the plants. With this system growing most of the food, I only have to remember a few pots that hang in the window. And my final reason for choosing a hydroponic setup was because of all the news about "them" banning, taxing or prohibiting backyard and/or organic gardens. I figured if it comes to that and we haven't bugged out to the hills, at least we'll still have good food on our table.

I checked out a lot of hydroponic setups on the Internet and my favorite was Future Garden, link here: http://www.futuregarden.com/hydroponics/systems_smartgardens.html. I liked that it was simple to maintain with it's SmartValve watering system. That means it automatically and without electricity keeps the water level constant. It was compact which was great since I'd be using it in a window and it was expandable.

There is no grey area

Hello again. For all my friends who follow my humble rants, you will notice a new look and also that I havn't posted for some time. We have been away all summer. For nearly four straight months we were camping in the mountains and practicing "all things survival". The new blog look reflects a realization that we discovered over the course of this summer. And that is: there is no grey area. Things really are black and white. You either do or you do not. You take a stand or you do not. You make changes or you do not. You get up off your ass and do what needs to be done or you make excuses. You act or you do not. Everything else, all those excuses we use to make things difficult are just distractions. Your ego or conditioning or whatever you want to call it, chattering in the back of you head, "rationalizing" the situation or problem or issue-it is your enemy! When you are cold and hungry and it's raining, again, you start hearing this voice that makes excuses and says how hard or difficult it would be to make that fire and cook that food, how it would be so much easier if you were back at home and could just open the cupboard or fridge, how nice it would be to just turn up the heat. It is then that you start to see a pattern. We have been trained to be lazy and yet feel like we're so overworked. All the gadgets that are supposed to make life simpler just keep us busier without any real return. We don't have any more free time to spend with family. Society and all the 'things' around us are just distractions. We are all running so very fast and yet getting nowhere. We see the difficult as a problem instead of an oportunity. We have been trained to be afraid of a challenge. We have been trained so completely by this beast system that we don't know how to make decisions. We have been trained to be complacent. Things are black or white. You get up and make that fire and feed your family and enjoy doing it because the very act brings satisfaction and your strength feeds the strength and character of your loved ones or you make things difficult for yourself and argue with your inner "enemy" and do a half assed job taking all the shortcuts you can, grumbling and wishing for your chains of servitude that you willing put on.

We decided during last winter to really give "survival living" a dry run. We asked ourselves alot of big questions. How do you really live with none of the amenities and luxuries that we are accustomed to? What is really needed and what is just fluff? When the rubber hits the road what just becomes a burden to carry around? Do we have it in us to REALLY bug out and SURVIVE? Do we really have the personal strength and determination to step into an unknown future, leaveing everything behind except for what we could carry and what was absolutely necessary for survival? Could you? Are you ready for that possibility? Are you prepared? Could you feed yourself? Will you stay warm?

We learned a lot about ourselves. Our strengths and weaknesses, our abilities and shortcomings. It's cold in the mountains in late May. It rains a lot too. We had a tent we called the "condo" because it was so big and roomy, plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 kids we thought. Funny how such a relatively large living area can shrink in size and become almost claustraphobic. As day 4 of constant rain and cold turned into day 8 we all realized that a sense of humor was an essential key to not just survival but your sanity! Do you know how hard and frustrating it is to cook in the rain and cold? When we rediscovered our sense of humor things were so much better. Yes it was cold and wet but we told jokes and learned to work together, each doing what they were capable of and things fell together quickly and our simple meals tasted like gourmet cuisine. We enjoyed eachothers company more than at any time I can remember. When was the last time you saw an 8 & 10 year old sit with their parents-quietly-watching life around them? We discussed everything and anything that came to mind. We watched squirrels, deer, groundhogs, birds and bugs for hours. And we practiced everything. I taught the kids how to fish. We followed game trails, learned which wild plants in our area were food or medicinal and gathered and used these plants. Some were delicious. Some were tolerable. Some we absloutely hated the taste of. We learned how to make baskets, how to start a fire under just about any condition. Where the best place to build a shelter was and how to build shelters. They look so easy to do in the books. They are pretty easy if everything is perfect. But when you are cold, hungry and/or tired it becomes a different event! We learned how to cook with the sun and how to build snares. But most of all we learned what was really important, necessary or useful and what things were just extra and in most cases simply extra baggage we hang onto because we are so used to having so many "things" around us. While living so simply we experienced the supreme presence of the Divine, an interconnectedness of life and a sense of freedom and pride and contentment that I have not experienced before.

THESE ARE NOT NEGOTIABLE

In the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson wrote, "Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies."
I would argue that we, like our patriot forebears, have also endured "patient sufferance." For at least a half-century, we have patiently endured the erosion and abridgment of our freedoms and liberties. We have watched the federal government become an overbearing and meddlesome Nanny State that pokes its nose and sticks its fingers in virtually everything we do. We cannot drive a car, buy a gun, or even flush a toilet without Big Brother's permission. We are taxed, regulated, and snooped-on from the time we are born to the day we die. And then after we are dead, we are taxed again.
In the same way that Jefferson and Company patiently suffered up until that shot was fired that was heard around the world, we who love freedom today are likewise patiently suffering "a long train of abuses and usurpations." In fact, I would even dare say that these States United have become a boiling caldron of justifiable frustration and even anger.
Accordingly, it is incumbent upon us to very seriously and thoughtfully examine those principles that we absolutely will never cede or surrender. We have already surrendered much of the freedom that was bequeathed to us by our forefathers. We are now to the point that we must define those principles that form our "line in the sand" and that we will not surrender under any circumstance. Either that, or we must admit to ourselves that there is nothing--no principle, no freedom, no matter how sacred--that we will not surrender to Big Government.
Here, then, are those principles that, to me, must never be surrendered. To surrender these liberties to Big Government would mean to commit idolatry. It would be sacrilege. It would reduce us to slavery. It would destroy our humanity. To surrender these freedoms would mean "absolute Despotism" and would provide moral justification to the proposition that such tyranny be "thrown off."

*The Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
Men without guns are not free men; they are slaves. Men without guns are not citizens; they are subjects. Men without guns have lost the right of self-defense. They have lost the power to defend their families and protect their properties. Men without guns are reduced to the animal kingdom, becoming prey to the Machiavellians among them who would kill them for sport or for their own personal pursuits. As King Jesus plainly ordered, "He that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one." (Luke 22:36) This we will do--at all costs.

*The Right to Own Private Property
Like the right of self-defense, the private ownership of property is a God-given right that is rooted in the Sacred Text. As God told Moses, "Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour's landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it." (Deut. 19:14)
In fact, the history of Western Civilization is replete with the examples of free men who were determined (even at the cost of their very lives) to defend the right to own property. Without private property rights, men are reduced to serfs and servants. Like chattel, they feed themselves by another's leave. This we will not do.

*The Right to Train and Educate Our Children
Education has never been the responsibility of the State. From time immemorial, education has been the right and responsibility of the family. This, too, has its foundation in the Sacred Volume. "And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." (Eph. 6:4) Therefore, the absolute right of homeshooling or private/parochial/Christian schooling must never be surrendered. Homeschooling, especially, is fundamental to freedom. It is not a coincidence that throughout history, most totalitarian governments forbade parents homeschooling their children. Any government--federal, State, or local--that forbids, or even restricts, the right of parents to homeschool their children has taken upon itself the uniform of a tyrant.

*The Freedom of Speech and Worship
Speech and worship are matters of the heart and conscience (Luke 6:45; John 4:24). Only tyrants seek authority over matters of the heart. But, of course, that is what tyrants do: they seek to control men's thoughts and beliefs. Hence, the alternative media is essential to liberty: the Internet, short wave radio, as well as independent magazines and periodicals. It is almost superfluous to say that there is no such thing as a free and independent press among the mainstream news media today. In fact, the major media more resembles a propaganda machine than it does a free press.
The same can be said for most of the mainstream churches in America today. They more resemble havens for politically correct, Big-Government ideology than they do bastions of Bible truth. Therefore, home-churches and non-establishment churches are increasingly requisite to a free people.

*The Right to Determine One's Own Healthcare
The marriage of Big Government and Big Medicine has created a healthcare monster. Already, the dispensing of medical treatment is micromanaged by Big Brother in a way that has resulted in skyrocketing costs and inferior care (and in some cases, even death). President Obama's universal health care initiatives that are sure to come (in one form or another) will only exacerbate an already untenable situation.
Free men and women absolutely have the right to refuse vaccinations for themselves and their children. Forced vaccinations (of any kind) are an assault against the very foundation of freedom. Free men have the right to choose their own physicians, their own hospitals, their own insurance programs, etc. They also have the right to refuse any and all of the above.
God is Creator. He is also Healer (Exodus 15:26). Therefore, how men choose to seek God's healing is a private matter between them and God. Alternative medicine is a right. Already, our military personnel are used as human guinea pigs to test a variety of drugs and chemicals. Public schools also require forced vaccinations. And now the push is on to force the general population to take the Swine Flu vaccine. At the current pace, it won't be long until all alternative medicines and treatments will be illegal and the federal government will be America's doctor. This is not acceptable.

Being a parent is, to me, the most rewarding occupation I have ever had. It is challenging, frustrating at times, but it is also the happiest and most important thing I've ever done.
I grew up in a large Italian family. My grandparents immigrated from Italy with their young ones to escape the tyrannical Mussolini and to grasp firmly that "American Dream" which was once upon a time so important. It was so important that people from all over the world left their family, their homes and their country. They left behind hunger and poverty, persecutions and tyranny to start all over with only what they could carry. A lot of these folks couldn't even speak the language. What courage they had! "I loro famiglia" was a phrase I heard often growing up. Your Family. Family was the most important thing. Period. It was instilled in us to care about other family members. To care what the family thinks. To think about our actions and how it would help or harm the entire family. To not bring shame to yourself or your family by way of actions or neglect. We were taught friends come and go but family sticks together. You could survive anything as long as you had your family by your side. We were expected to carry our weight, help out, and do our best with the family always in the forefront of all our actions. We were taught so many things like: hunting, fishing, gardening, grafting, wine making, cheese making, canning, about carrier pigeons and animal husbandry to name just a few. Basically we were taught self sufficiency on every level-even the girls learned how to hunt, shoot and clean guns. The girls were taught how to be a woman, wife, mother and proud of herself. The boys were taught how to be a man and care for the family. We were all taught respect for our elders and ourselves. To not be pushed around. How and when to stand firm and that sometimes you had to take a stand. I think we were taught how to be good people, with high moral standards and to stand up for what is right. From little tots to grandparents, we looked out for each other. We prayed together, ate together and worked the farm together, all of us doing what we could. Have you ever seen a group of Italian men having a "discussion"? The kind of "discussion" I am talking about is no longer "politically correct" or allowed in our police society. A society where having and speaking about an opinion is frowned upon. Someone nowadays witnessing one of those "discussions" would undoubtedly call the police and cower in the corner! My Uncles and Father and Grandfather, being very strong Italian men, would sit around the kitchen table and PASSIONATELY and LOUDLY discuss everything. Politics and religion and history would usually result in loud, passionate, opinionated, hours long "discussions". How I miss them!! Our family had its problems and issues like every family does but when I look past the bumpy parts of my family I remember the gems I learned from "mia famiglia", my family. I lean on these teaching and hope I can pass the truth of them on to my children.
When I hear women say "I am just a stay at home mom" I feel sad for them. It belittles the importance of the job. It belittles them as a person. How did our society allow parenting to become such a worthless thing? How did our society allow the most important occupation to become something so hated, defamed, mocked, ridiculed and dishonored? Now raising our children with morals and character as we see fit, has become illegal. We are terrorists if we try to instill these good qualities in them. Now if we share our religion, our ethics, our opinions, or our beliefs, there is something wrong with us. The government, via the school system, now teaches our children are all INSANE! Some how the country now feels that the government can do a better job at raising my children than I can. How absurd! No one else has their best interests at heart and loves or cares for them more than the parents.
In the news this week is an article about a 16 year old boy being home schooled that has been held for 2 months now as a terrorist under the treasonous document the "Patriot Act"! Not a peep, in defense of his countrymen, was uttered by this president. A president who won't defend his country even with words is a president that will destroy it. He dances to the tune his masters play, all the while smiling and killing us softly with lies and deceit. It angers me. "Now is the time for all good men, to come to the aid of our county"! Wake up! Feel the blood rushing through your veins, take a deep breath and feel in your soul your FREEDOM. Feel that freedom rush through your SOUL. Now figure out what you believe in, what you stand for and draw a line in your sand. This is where we find our power and it's also what "they" are so afraid you will remember! This is the line you will find when you realize just what we've lost and what we've become in the eyes of these tyrants. Our countrymen, our families and friends have become surfs, slaves, and bond servants. We are seen as chattel and laborers, workers and workhorses. Our countrymen are nothing more than captives and victims, of their own making! They've lost what they didn't even realize they had, because they were distracted and dazed. They were more afraid of the boogy man than the consequences of their inaction! We must continue to share information with the sheeple. We are fighting for our right to live and we must not go quietly into the night! I have been watching what has been going on this past week with real awe. At first I was admittedly scared, terrified even. I have little ones I am responsible for and of course the fear of a PANDEMIC hit it's target in me like most every one else I know. I honestly had a few days of absolute panic in my gut. Understandable of course. Running in between my fear though was outrage that this was and is a laboratory designed, bio engineered virus. The outrage that this was planned and delivered to us is my most overwhelming feeling these days. I have had time to digest the fear and panic and I feel we as a family will deal with whatever comes our way. We are not wholly unprepared. This is of course THEIR agenda. This is designed to fear monger, terrify, stupefy and immobilize the sheeple. The "Ministry of Propaganda" aka fox, cnn, msnbc etc., are constantly, incessantly regurgitating FEAR, PANIC and "global issues" to control us and get us accustomed to their total control over every facet of our lives. The REAL fear these days comes when I hear them blathering on about having to give up some "basic freedoms" in order to be safe. It sounds reasonable to most ears, no one wants to catch a deadly virus. The bigger issue is of course that once they take a freedom away they will not give it back! Going to the movies, going to church, going anywhere that is not designated as allowed by them for fear that someone will pass on this "deadly virus" is a loss of our First Amendment "Freedom to Assemble". Coincidentally this comes after all the End The Fed rallies, Tea Parties and mass protests against the bailout. We are making a difference and people are waking up and they cannot allow that. Our Fourth Amendment is gone when they enter our houses to search us to see if we are sick or pull us over at warren less check points and take blood or tissue sample, which they are doing all across the country. If we give in to just these two, they will take them all. We MUST stand fast and continue to wake people up. The fight has only just begun. Do not give in to their designer fear. Yes this is serious. They have designed a biological virus that has the potential to be deadly when, in my opinion, they release the needed agent to turn it into a REAL killer. WE MUST keep fighting this even harder now. The sheeple need to know that this was designed and released on us. They need to know that the drug company that this government has chosen to come up with a "vaccine" is BAXTER laboratories. This is the same company that, just last month, sent out vaccines to 18 different countries with LIVE bird flu virus in them. Now that would have definitely set off a pandemic if it had not been caught by the lab technician! These are corrupt people that have an agenda and we must keep educating people on it. Our only hope is to continue to scream from the roof tops! This is about THEM taking over OUR country and seeing what they can get away with. This is a designed distraction. No one I know is paying attention to the bills being put through the House and Congress. Gun reloading bans, Supreme Court Justice David Souter out of the blue gave his resignation, a new hate crime bill that passed last week gives protection to homosexuals and gags pastors (or anyone) from speaking against it in anyway. (I must add here that it is not a big concern of mine what a persons sexual preference is. I grew up in San Francisco and have had many friends that were "gay". My issue is that with this new bill we have lost our First Amendment-freedom of speech and religion!) The car companies are going bankrupt and coming under Federal control, our dollar is going to worth less than the peso in a month! And we continue to lose jobs, houses and freedoms. Again, this is a designed distraction! As it stands right now you have more of a chance of dieing from a coconut hitting your head than from this swine flu! How many people die from auto accidents every year? Thousands! Are we going to outlaw driving? Please don't be distracted from the real issues here. Keep spreading the word. Keep talking. Keep educating everyone you know. Sooner or later they too will be awake and able to see the agenda.
And for heavens sake don't take ANY vaccine!

Chem Trails and How to Get Rid Of Them

I thought today I would post on the lovely chemicals raining down on us across the entire United States. Because of all of these chem trails going on for 13 yeas now, the earth is 20+ % dimmer! Have you tried to point these out to the sheeple? Do you know people that look at you with a glazed, drugged, unbelieving expression when you point to the grids crossing the sky? What gets me is that even when you point them out and explain to them what they are filled with they still don't believe. And worse they won't check it out and try to disprove the information! They just say something pointless and stupid like "I can't believe that" or worse they believe the propaganda that it's for our own good to prevent global warming! It makes me sick to wake up to a gorgeous blue sky and by 8 am it's become a hazy, ugly, colorless sky. Most of the time you can actually see the crap dripping from these trails for hours as they spread across the sky. The tyrants in b.o.'s administration are now talking about it openly saying they are looking into “geo-engineering” the earth’s climate to counter global warming by “shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere to reflect the sun’s rays.", even though they've been doing all this since 1996. Think about that line-"shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere"! Does that even make sense???? This is absurd, period. The chem trails rain down such poisonous particles as mercury, fine particles of aluminum oxide, aluminum coated fiberglass particulates, desiccated (that's dried and ground up) blood, (which begs the question of where/who/what did the blood come from) Benzene which causes cancer of the lymphatic system, or lymphoma, known as Hodgkin's disease, barium.... as well as a host of other toxins. Interestingly 6 months ago when I was first researching building one of these things you could find tons of videos on youtube about how well they work. Now the only ones on there are vague and it would be easy to dismiss these gadgets. Unfortunately I did not save any of the numerous videos that showed the skies being cleared within 10 minutes of placing your new chem buster out in your yard. So you're going to have to take a leap of faith and trust me when I say these do work. I will have to buy or find someone that has a video recorder to borrow and make my own video for you to see. I love my clean and blue sky and I look at the cost of making one of these as a sort of "preventative medicine" for myself and my entire town. Please, please, please make one of these or at the least check them out and make an educated decision!

Seriously folks, this sort of things just makes me sick and afraid at the same time. All of us. And we ALL have a brain disorder which makes us so hateful and racist. And according to her we are all apparently white unless we suffer from "stockholm syndrome". Stockholm syndrome describes the behavior of kidnap victims who, over time, become sympathetic to their captors. What that has to do with the people who are angry at the state we find our country in makes no sense, but neither does anything else that she vocally vomits out of her mouth. Well excuse me, but I know alot of us out there are of ALL different race, color and religion. She starts her hateful diatribe at 3 minutes into this video after being insulted numerous times by Keith Olberman. According to her we are all so angry only because we -being racist- just simply hate having a black man in the white house. And we are all just a bunch of tea bagging red necks! Apparently according to her "expert" opinion, we will believe anything except the truth! Because remember we have a brain disorder. Apparently our "limbic brain" is much bigger "than in a "reasonable" person which which is what causes us to be so angry, hateful and stupid! I'm sure we will all have to take some sort of medication for this "disorder" soon. Or maby we should just drink more fluoride water so we get as stupid and numb as she is! Our being angry over the state of our country, the loss of our freedoms, The poison in our air, water and food, the rape and murder of our constitution, the enormous debt (that exceeds our gross national product) which we are bequeathing to our great, great, grand children or the fact that we are now guilty until we prove that we are innocent and show our papers, (read my blog from yesterday) is all just a "neurological problem".
I am so disgusted at all the tea bagging insults the media has been using. The sick and pornographic reference to "tea bagging" has been constant. Just another way to distract the sheep and keep them laughing and snickering at all of us who are awake, aware and concerned. It's disgusting but it's all a slight of hand sort of thing. Keep the sheep happy with gross insults and base humor, like an adolescent school yard bully, and don't talk about issues! Aside from my indignation at all this what really bothers me is the precedent being layed out. There was an article I watched a video the other day about how we are all "pessimistic porn addicts"! We are being labeled as having a neurological disorder, being racist, angry and dangerous. Have you seen the MIAC type reports that label all of us as dangerous and/or terrorists? Soon we will not be allowed to speak out at all or we will be arrested and locked up as crazy and dangerous and forced to take drugs that "calm" us. It's getting scary out there folks.

A Clear And Present Danger Becoming So Very Clear

I am very disturbed by a host of news this week. The precedent being set, the plan being played out, is becoming so clear it has left me in a nauseous state for days now. I will outline my thoughts on this for you. Here are the links to the articles I am referring to.

The first link talks about a new bill being proposed. This bill would require you to identify yourself at all times to any police officer that asks you for i.d. The bill would also require individuals to provide their date of birth and 'residence address' to police. So much for the 4th amendment & probable cause or the "right to be secure in your person, house, papers or against unreasonable searches". This is most disturbing to me as it brings up scenes of the Nazi's asking the Jews "papers please". So if you can't prove who you are and what you are doing you are then relegated to the category of 'suspect' or 'terrorist' and all without probable cause.
The next article is about a 'journalist' and I use that term loosely and with disgust in this case, that has been hired by B.O.'s administration and has taken the job of "an adviser at the Pentagon". What she is advising on and what her qualifications for this new position are is unknown to me but I can take an educated guess. She was previously a columnist for the Los Angeles Times. She is and advocate for “direct government support for public media” and creating licenses to govern news operations. So much for an independent and free press not to mention that pesky First Amendment. Think about it. The government paying for and controlling the media. Ever watch the movie "V"? If this is allowed then you have exactly what that movie calls the "Ministry of Propaganda". The control of the media and free speech, free press by the government is unacceptable! Period. It's hard to believe that our new presidents administration would allow this or seek it unless they are deliberately trying to control us. Which of course we all know is exactly the case. The control of the press has been used by every dictator in history. Search the web and you will find examples in history, ad nauseum, where control of or muzzling of the press is done by every dictator in power as they try to take over a country. This time it's our country though.
The final article is about our new health care plan and apparently no one from either party is objecting to the health provisions being slipped into B.O's new stimulus bill of all places. Hiding this health legislation in a stimulus bill is of course intentional. The less people know about it the easier it is to pass. These new provisions reflect the vision of Tom Daschle, who until his disgrace & tax-evasion scandal was, you may remember, the nominee to head the Health and Human Services Department. That he is a blatant eugenicist is obvious if you read the book he wrote in 2008. This bill’s health rules will affect every one in the United States beyond just having your medical treatments electronically tracked by your federal government. It will allow a new bureaucratic entity, called the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology to approve or deny treatment or procedures. Imagine that. A new a "bureaucratic entity", given the power to "monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective". (my emphasis added) "The goal is to reduce costs and “guide” your doctor’s decisions". Wow, do you get it? Americans are being ridiculed for "expecting too much" from the health-care system that WE pay for. Seniors should just be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them (and don't forget that alot of these so called "conditions that come with age" are because of the poisons in our food, water and vaccines). That means the elderly will be first to get denied treatment deemed "unnecessary". So essentially you should just let mom or pop DIE! If this bill passes the Senate, seniors in the U.S. will face "medical rationing"! As a nurse I can hardly write that without gaging! The implications and agenda are huge. What does all this mean? It means mom or dad get the pleasure of being told by your federal government that a medication or procedure which might benefit their quality of life is not deemed a necessary expense so they should just DIE! Because they are no longer worth keeping alive. It just sickens me. So here is the picture of our future which haunts me after reading just these few articles: Show your papers and pray for mercy to the thugs in power who control and write the news you read while you watch your family members DIE because of some bureaucratic TICK in control of every aspect of your puny undeserving life! Pop culture and media is often used to pre-emptively alter public perception of a real threat by presenting it in a fictional context. The preview of the movie Toxic Skies starring actress Anne Heche, (playing on the screen above) was aired Monday on Australian TV on March 4th. It was apparently set to release on a TV near you but was then pulled. When you overlay this movie with the new press releases about their planned Geo-Engineering it makes you wonder.....
Remember the episode of The Lone Gunmen (a spin off of the Fox network’s X-Files) which involved hijacking planes by remote control and flying them into the Word Trade Center complex as a pretext to wage war of aggression and profit. That movie aired in March of 2001. And 6 months later 9/11 happened mirroring the movie.
If watching this doesn't send a cold shiver up your spine, I urge you quit taking your Prozac (slowly). The illuminated ones love flaunting their activities in our faces and hiding their agendas in plain view. They appear to have a twisted code of ethics that mandates they warn the public before launching an attack against us.

Excuse me, but I thought that sort of thing was protected under our constitution! Oh that's right, we don't have a constitution anymore, what was I thinking.
Every day it's more of the same. Every day they tell us and show us what they are doing or going to do and I'm just getting so tired of it and ticked off. I'm getting so tired of the apathy and stupidity of the sheeple. A friend of mine has a sister that has been trying for years to get pregnant. She recently had a beautiful baby boy. I passed on all the information and documentation about the baby formula now containing the poisonous Melamine chemical that KILLS YOU. Did it matter to this woman, (that has wanted a baby for many years) that feeding this to her new son might harm or kill him? Did she give it any thought? Did she research it at all? Did she try to disprove this information? Does it amaze and sicken you to know that she did none of these things. She instead chose to disregard all of it. She smiles sweetly and lovingly, while holding the bottle which delivers the poison to this beautiful and precious new life. It makes my soul hurt.
Keep on prepping brothers and sisters. We may just be the last defense for what we love and hold most dear.

Gas Masks

I have been in a bit of a funk this last week. It's all just pointless worry, I understand that, but also I've been chewing on the future after this big G20 meeting. I, like a lot of you folks, are probably dreading the changes that are going to come about because of this treasonous meeting with the ruling elite.
But what I really want to write about is Gas Masks. I sincerely believe that we ARE going to need them. All the news and their own agenda demands that all of us "useless eaters" be eliminated. I have to admit that I put off buying them until just this last week. Have you bought yours yet? If not, why haven't you bought any for your family? What is your reason? Do you think we won't need them? Is it a useless expense? Do other items seem more important? I personally worked my way through every excuse I could think of over the course of the last few months. I would find every excuse I could to rationalize not buy them. Then it dawned on me that all my "reasoning" was really just excuses to not face the almost irrational fear that showed up deep in my spirit when I would think about buying them! But honestly, the thought of using, the reality of needing these gas masks, was for us, a blind spot I think. You can fight an enemy you can see, you can find food & shelter, you can be resourceful & survive. This reality takes us to a place of such extreme nightmarish scenes of a possible reality, that I think most people reflexively shun it. People do that. They avoid looking at what makes them most afraid. This was obviously my biggest fear. But lately the news about all the mass graves being dug. It was so relevant and probable. It was so sobering that I finally realized my fear, accepted it and did what I knew I needed to do and bought the darn things!
These and so much more all point to needing gas masks. I think of it as insurance I can carry with me. We obviously don't have any way of knowing if we will need to use them but let me tell you that since I placed my order and now that I have them in my possession I am sleeping a little better! FEMA Semi's and Disposable Wipes.

My husband called home from work yesterday to tell me he had just seen 3 large semi trucks with FEMA and it's logo written along it's side. Well I gotta tell ya that sent chills down my spine. That same day there was all this info on the news about those mass graves being dug at the National Memorial Cemetery in Arizona and I was reminded of all those plastic coffins being stock piled around the country. Well call me kookie, I don't care, but it was enough to spur me to buy gas masks for the family that very day! Few things about all this prepping, for what ever is coming out way, chill me as much as the thought of an engineered plague! An enemy I can see I can fight! Right? Please buy Colloidal Silver before they take it off the shelves. Buy a solar Colloidal Silver generator! Read and learn about herbs. Make your tinctures to build and strengthen your immune system. Start doing cleanses and fasts to clean out your system. Do a liver cleanse! Juice or water fast for a couple days every month. The healthier we are the stronger we are! All of these ideas have been proven to be helpful and have been done for centuries. Interestingly, I was once told that the term "born with a silver spoon in your mouth" came from the plague era. Because apparently they were aware that the rich or those able to afford "silver ware" lived/survived the plague better than the poor schmucks eating off of wooden spoons.
I would like to pass on an idea to add to your bug out bags and supplies. Maby you've already done this but I was concerned about keeping myself and my family clean in a situation where we have to split and hide for a time. Toilet paper was also a worry. I know of many plants to use but be honest, plants just are not as satisfying :) Also disposable wipes will run out. So I bought some of those round containers of disposable wipes. (Take them out and put in a zip lock to use later). Buy some soft terry cloth, (1 or 2 yards), and cut them to the size of the disposable wipes, approx. 8 x 10 inches. Then stitch along sides so they won't unravel & will keep their shape. When finished, roll them up so they fit in your disposable wipes container and will pop out of the top. Then mix up a little good quality soap with water and pour over your wipes till just wet. These can then be used in place of disposable wipes and they are washable. I've used these when camping and hiking and just love them. In the summer, to help repel biting bugs, you can add some essential oil of citronella to one of the wipes, then "wash" your exposed body parts.

I read a lot about prepping supplies and I often see "feminine products" on the list. But ask yourself this: are we really going to be able to store (or god forbid-carry!) enough? About 6 months ago I changed my thinking on all this. If you are interested in an option other than commercial feminine products read on. My thinking on this started to change this last year as I realized that we are staring into the face of an extended period of upheaval. Then I realized that I have two daughters that are heading into their blossoming time and so I have to store for 3 women! Well that seemed daunting! So I looked for an alternative. I figured if all hell breaks loose and I have to bug out for some reason than that is one thing I do NOT want to have to worry about carrying a lot of. I have been using the moon pads for awhile now and love them. I bought my first batch but then just made a bunch after that. You can find a pattern on line for free or to buy. The moon cup is just a great alternative to tampons. This soft, natural gum rubber cup collects the flow rather than absorbing it, so the vaginal tissues aren't dried out as they can be by tampons. Both these products fit my newly developing ideas that to be as prepared as we can be we need to think small and efficient. Did I really want to carry all those products that are bulky and that I'd have to dispose of, (for 3 people) or did I need to make a change? The answer was really an easy one for me. Both the cup and a handful of moon pads fit into a small zip lock bag. They are washable and almost never wear out. Check them out if you don't already use them. I kinda have to laugh at this post. So many things on prepping but I've not seen anything out there for the women on this issue and figured I'd be brave and throw it out there for all you ladies that have been thinking about this issue too!

Making an herbal tincture.

They are really kicking it in to high gear these days. What do you all think about obama making the military pay for there own insurance? I personally think that was the most telling and disgusting thing I've ever heard. I never thought I'd see the day when a President did not care about the welfare of the troops that HE is sending into harms way! Horrible and unexcusable behavior for a President! Almost everywhere I go now I hear people talking about a revolution! hummmm.....

Today I wanted to post some more info on making medicinal herbal tinctures. Tinctures are very expensive to buy in the store and so very easy and inexpensive to make! The medicinal properties of a plant is concentrated in grain alcohol (NOT rubbing alcohol), or vinegar. They are wonderful to have on hand and easy to use. Because they are concentrated you can add a dropperful or more to a cup of tea or water or juice and have a potent boost for your body. The tincture is more powerful than a cup of tea so if you are using a tincture for cleansing your body of toxins as in burdock, dandelion, or red clover, having a tincture drink 3 or 4 times a day is more potent than drinking a dozen cups of tea with the same herb. I've posted a list of very helpful herbs to have on hand and what they are good for-just scroll down the page here a bit and you'll find it. You can use a single herb or a mix but it is generally agreed that 6 or less mixed together is best. Sometimes less is more :)
Here's how to make a Tincture: Choose your herb either fresh or dried and cut up small. Put into a clean, dry mason jar. Then cover the herbs with grain alcohol - Everclear is best but you can also use brandy or organic apple cider vinegar - anything over 90 proof works though and fill to an inch over the slightly packed herbs. Screw the lid on tight making sure that it is a sealable jar so that the alcohol doesn't evaporate. Mark with date and herb(s). Put in a dark cabinet for 2-6 weeks. Shake gently weekly. Leaving for longer will of course make the tincture stronger medicinally. Thats it! Easy! When you are ready to strain the tincture get another clean, dry jar and strain with cheese cloth or paper towel. Squeeze the herbs a bit to get the rest of the tincure out, label with herb names and it's use (internal or external). Seal tightly. Tinctures will generally last 2 years or more if sealed tightly.
